Please do. They are so much fun that you'll have a smile on your face all the way through.

Hate to be wishy washy but it's really whatever book I'm reading is my favorite. I will say that Dirk Pitt has rarely let me down. Even with the transition from Clive to Dirk they are still putting out some good books. Dirk isn't quite as good as his dad but I think he's getting there.

The Oregon Files started out slow but when DuBrul took over it really took off. The first two books I wasn't too sure if I would keep reading but now I really like the series. I do wish DuBrul would get more of his Mercer series out but I can't even imagine how tough it is to write a book let alone two.

NUMA started a little too similar to Dirk and Al with Kurt and Joe but the past few books have really allowed them to take on their own identity. I thought Kemprecos has done a great job in developing this series and I hope with the change to the new guy (can't remember his name right now) is smooth.

The Issac Bell series is just so different from the other three it's hard to compare them but it's a great series. What's great is I couldn't tell a difference from Clive's first book to Scott's next two. I love the detail they go into to tell how things were back then.

As for the Fargo's I'm about halfway through the first book and it's not bad but it would be my least favorite book so far. In it's defense I haven't really given it a good chance yet but I'm going to read the first three books. After that I should have a good take on if I like the series or not. My biggest hang up is that I just don't believe either Remi or Sam have the skills / experience to be able to do the things they are doing.

I haven't read any of the kids books but I might get one for my neice and see if she likes them.

Dirk Pitt forever here. Whats the title of the next DP book??

Hi there, don't think there's another DP book anounced yet.

The next books are:

Built for Adventure:The Classic Automobiles of Clive Cussler & Dirk Pitt - Published 27th October 2011 (US & UK).

The Race (Isaac Bell) - Published 6th September 2011 (US) & 27th October 2011 (UK).

Devils Gate (Numa) - Published 14th November 2011 (US) & 5th January 2012 (UK).

The Thief (Isaac Bell) - Published 6th March 2012 (US & UK).

Hope this helps. pirate.gif

The DP stories, first and always. I agree that Dirk's writing is improving. I would like to see the kids, especially Summer, as more competent protagonists. It's a waste to have Summer, for all her adventurous spirit, as the damsel in distress.

Then the Oregon files. I really enjoy Du Brul's writing; it gets better each book.

Love the Isaac Bell series. They remind me of the old pulp magazines stories and they are a lot of fun.

No complaints about the other series but these three are my favorites.

Almost forgot: the kids books are just plain fun. They also make wonderful gifts for young readers. I've given several.

Hey guys, let's get some discussions going...

My favourite Cussler series at the moment is definately The Oregon Files, Jack Du Brul's writing & plots seem to go from strength to strength. Clive & Dirk are doing a fantastic job with the Dirk Pitt series & Dirk's writing seems to be getting better & better. The Isaac Bell books seem to be finding a rhythm now & I'm enjoying them alot. The Numa files really needed a shake up & l'm full of optimism with what Graham Brown can do for the series. I don't dislike the Fargo series, they're fun & entertaining but i don't think they've quite found their feet yet, I wonder if Grant Blackwood's departure will mean the end of the series??

So lets hear it guys & gals.. what's your favourite series & why?
