they need to remake sahara. dont make dirk into some treasure nut obsessed about finding the texas, give rudi some balls and make their boat as cool in the book. when i read that chapter describing the boat i thought wow, that is some boat. It destroyed half the Benin Navy! granted they only had 2 or 4 boats, but still it was awesome. Then there is the scene when the UN team rescues rudi. They land in the airport, imediatley disable it and call out for rudi. They could make that a little more dramatic maybe by landing then taking a rocket launcher to the control tower. Another major disappointment was massarde. in the book he was an evil madman, in the book he was a snivley little stooge of the general. so much disapointment in hollywood.

Dragon is one of my other favorites. It would have some pretty awesome action scenes.

The next movie has to be "Night Probe". It is my favorite of all the Cussler books, and the simplist one to make. It also has two great villians -- Foss Gly and Brian Shaw.

Obviously, there is only one man to play Brian Shaw, and that's Sean Connery. Brian Shaw is a retired British Secret Service Agent (obviously James Bond), and who else could play a 70-ish James Bond but Connery?

We would all like to see more movies that follow the books. It is easy to understand that time limitations make that impossible but there isn't alot of the story left when Hollywood gets done with it. It's easy for them to say "Based on a book by Clive Cussler" but this is what draws all of us to see the movie and leave with a sense of disappointment.

i think they should leave making the movies of clive cussler books

the 2 that have been done already although watchable would not endear anyone who is not a fan of dirk and al to become fans of dirk and al

keep to the books they far better than any film

Lets see, I have 14 minutes to dance and as much as I appreciate the offers I'm afraid I must spend 13 of them dancing with David and Addy and during the final minute before we all sink can you say CONGA LINE and we all somehow find a lifeboat!!!!

You are so missing the point. I told you in another post that I respect your opinions even if I don't agree with them and yes, you have every right to post them. What I strongly dislike, and so do others, is your pointed sarcastic attacks directed at people on the forum if they disagree with your opinion. You are the one who came on this forum and started "throwing zingers". Now they are just tossing them back.

You said... "I feel VERY strongly about people in high positions who take advantage of people who support them." That's cool! That is your opinion and you posted it. Just don't add all the pointed, attacking sarcasm at folks to go with it.
