The only thing missing was a goal or something to do for the rest of his life. He was not just satisfied going into business like his father, grandfather, great-grandfather had done. Politics, obviously had some advantages and disadvantages. What to do? He wondered. The Military seemed like a possible answer but you just can't join for the wrong reasons, he thought. You have to join it, with full knowledge of the risk of losing your life for a higher purpose, and Forrest wondered if he had that in himself. Then an opportunity presented itself when he attended a White House social function and was drawn into a discussion about Intelligence operations by a U.S. Senator. William Marsters, the Senior U.S. Senator from the state of Pennsylvania was impressed by the young man and asked him if he would like to work for the Federal Government in the area of Intelligence. Forrest said yes and a few days later found himself working in the Department of Justice's Office of Special Intelligence.

	Less than thirty minutes later, National Security Advisor Forrest DeMars phoned President Lyman Pitt to inform him that Fergus Fabrizian was dead and that the submarine had been destroyed. After hanging up the phone in the apartment of Alysson Hossack and Alexander Pitt's, the President informed everyone in the room what had happened. Then Alexander to the amazement of everyone went down on his knee and proposed to Alysson Hossack to marry him. With tears in her eyes, she said yes. They kissed and hugged. "Well, son, I am certainly proud of you and Alysson, welcome to the family!!!" said President Lyman Pitt. THE END

	2077. The U.S. Navy Destroyer, U.S.S. Nebraska, with her complement of air, water & space weapons and three dimensional phased array radar system was on a secret patrol off the shore of California when her Captain, Clyde Adler, was informed of a threatening submarine in the waters of the Pacific near San Francisco. With her powerfully strong prow plowing through the waters of the Pacific, her crew went on high alert. Within an hour the unidentified submarine showed up on the radar. A radioman was ordered to send a message on all frequencies to inform the sub to stop and surface by Captain Clyde Adler. In return, Fergus ordered a missile shot at the U.S. Navy Destroyer. Looking at the radar, Captain Clyde Adler ordered, "Implement the Sonic Barrier!". The missile exploded on impact of what appeared to an invisible wall beneath the waters. "Fire a missile!" commanded the U.S.Navy Captain. A missile shot out and despite the submarines attempt to maneuver sideways was still struck amidships and took some damage. The submarine began to surface. Upon surfacing men scrambled out and placing themselves in rubber boats and rowing towards the Navy Destroyer. Fergus was furious and began shooting at his men. "Ram that submarine to pieces!!" shouted Captain Clyde Adler when he saw the madman shooting at his own men and as the ship sped towards the submarine Fergus began shooting at the ship, shouting "Never! Never! Never! *^$#$^#$".

	2045. Less than a week after the inauguration of President William Marsters a press conference was held to announce the renomination of Ambassador James L. Montgomery to stay in his post as Ambassador to Russia. While watching on television, Fergus Fabrizian got an idea of how to get back at Russia that had betrayed his secret location of the killer satellite transfer back in 2037. He immediately called in some favors inside the Russian government and within a month James Montgomery had been kidnapped by the Russian government of Arno Drakkenzel. The American government went on the offensive immediately threatening war and as a result a power struggle in the Russian government took place. It took nearly a year until Arno Drakkenzel's government collapsed and he was ousted. Throughout it all an American had been negotiating the release of Ambassador James Montgomery. Tony Sandecker emerged as a hero and returned to the United States enjoying his fame at the age of 69.

	Finally, the local police arrived and began shooting at the men working for Fergus Fabrizian. One by one they fell. Fergus heard the chatter of the bullets by the local police and fled the apartment. Alexander was hot on his tail. Alysson was worried sick when Alex took off after the dangerous man. Fergus made it to the docks and jumped onboard the rubber boat and headed towards the submarine that lay over three miles away. Alex found a boat and hotwired it. Soon he was following Fergus on the rubber boat. Fergus reached down to the gunlocker and took out a gun and began to shoot back while still driving the boat. Alex maneuvered the boat he was driving sideways left and right to avoid being hit. Within less than a mile of the submarine, Alex saw a man on the topside uncover an automatic machine gun. Soon he was being shot at and decided to turn around and head back to the island. Onboard the submarine, Fergus was tempted to unleash a Tsunami but couldn't do it without risking the submarine, his life and his men. Frustrated at not being able to grab the President, Fergus was angry and started yelling at his men. Having lost five of his best men, Fergus was enraged and decided that time was running short and set the submarine on a direct course for the nearest coastal city, San Framcisco.

	In less than five minutes after pressing the button on his remote, a gun battle was heard outside as his men tried to outshoot the Secret Service. Despite their valiant efforts, the Secret Service agents found themselves hemmed in and taking injuries. Fergus waited impatiently as he tried to sound threatening to the potential hostages. President Pitt and Alexander Pitt did not want to do anything that would cause harm to the women. Fergus really wanted the President as a hostage but it was taking his men forever to penetrate the apartment.

	After being told that the Economic Development Director was at home, Fergus Fabrizian decided to walk to the young woman's apartment after he smooth talked the information out of Alysson's assistant, Grazia Neal. Knocking on the door of apartment D4, Fergus was happy to see Alysson answer and gave her his winningest smile. "Ms. Hossack, I hope this is not a bad time to visit. I was hoping to chat about some details of my investing here on the island". "Oh, please come on in, Mr. Fabrizian" replied Alysson with immediate recognition. Fergus stepped into the apartment and found himself looking into the eyes of the President of the United States, the First Lady and a young man whose eyes looked hard. Thankfully his left hand was still in his jacket pocket with the remote and without anyone noticing, Fergus pressed the button.

	Despite the workload in the White House, President Lyman Pitt and his wife, Eve flew out to Morgan Island. The Airport was on the opposite side of the island from the resort city and had not been affected by the Tsunami. President Pitt and the first lady visited the NUMA Center first to see if Alexander was there but was informed that he was home. President Pitt knocked on the door of apartment D4 and was stunned when Alysson Hossack answered the door. "Ohmygod, Mr. President! First Lady! Please come on in! Alex will be right out after he finishes his shower. Please have a seat on the couch and if you're thirsty I can get you a drink" Alysson spoke with hot cheeks and feeling flustered to see Alex's parents for the first time. Less than five minutes later, Alex walks out of the bedroom to find Alysson entertaining his parents. "Mom! Dad! Great to see the two of you! Wow! What brings the two of you to Morgan Island?" as he hugs his mom and sit's next to Alysson. "This is a pleasant surprise, son, to see you living with Alysson, with whom we have been getting to know here" replies Alex's mother, Eve Pitt. "Son, we have come here for a bit of rest and to inform you about this Dr. Pelagian character that you probably have heard about in the news and caused damage to this beautiful island. This Dr. Pelagian is really Fergus Fabrizian, a troublemaker for sometime now and who invoked the name of your great-great grandfather, Dirk Pitt's enemy, Delphi Moran".

	Dirk Pitt the Third stepped into the Oval Office and was welcomed warmly by his son, President Lyman Pitt. "Come with me into the private office, Pop". Dirk Follows his son into the smaller office and they both sit. "Would you like a beer or something to drink, Dad?". "No Thanks, son. I'm ok". "I guess you're here because of the threat against our country by this madman". "Yes son, I am. I want to tell you about Delphi Moran and our forefather, Dirk Pitt, and the battles between the two back in the late twentieth century". Dirk goes on for more than a half hour about his grandfather. 'I still remember him, son. I was not even fouteen yet when he passed away".

	'On behalf of Russia, my father, Braden and Delphi Moran I shall hurl a wave of water to one of the largest coastal cities of the United States. The city that I will choose will be destroyed" stated Fergus Fabrizian on his broadband telecast that was immediately picked up by PC's, HDTV, TV, Satellite Radio and many other media outlets. Inside the White House, President Lyman Pitt sat with ashen face at his powerlessness. "We will stop him, Mr. President" says the National Security Advisor, Forrest DeMars.
