No mushrooms and I did have some inspiration for the answer. Glad I could make your day and I can't wait to see the pics from your view of the Catskills.

Sean actually explained the SME part and it was pretty weird.  I got this really dimensional image of you guys rotating around a Magic Mirror going somewhere Into the Black and and battling it out with Sea Wraiths and least you hope that's what they are, it could just as well be The Devil You Know.  I know  The Scar will show upon the one who is adventurous enough to break through that Magic Mirror, grab the bird and take that Falcon's Flight, crashing through that Magic Mirror, away from the Sea Wraiths going toward the light not Into the Black away from The Devil You know and reach and grab The Shroud of Heaven.

You know, it means something like that. :')  Man I need more coffee!

LOL !!! This little tale made my day. Thank you.

I don't think you need any coffee. You have a great imagination or it's the mushrooms--LOL !

Maybe Mr Ellis and I are kindred spirits after all.

As for me, I 'm hitting the beach for a couple of days........

"Here's the weird part. My real name is Sean M Ellis. If you take the SME out of Nick Kismet, you're left with... whoa, now I've really got a headache."--NICK KISMET

"I don't know how I originally missed this too Sean and if I didn't know you so well I would say you are flipping a coin there in the great North. Heads you are Sean, Tails you are Nick."-EMPRESS

No offense meant, but what exactly does this mean ?- NICK KITT

"It wasn't the shameless plug that offended me."

That's a relief ! I wouldn't want to offend you,especially since I wasn't talking to you.

"It was the fact that you think Seans book is worth nothing more than holding up a broken dresser."

Mr Ellis wasn't offended and knew I was joking which, obviously, you didn't.

"You may have thought you were being funny but I found it to be in very poor taste."

Poor taste, along with your lack of intelligence, is calling someone an "ignorant prick",especially when a remark is not made to you.

"But then I expect nothing less from you old boy"

Nor I, from you...

"Handle every situation like a dog"

"If you can't eat it or hump it
Piss on it and walk away"

THAT pretty much sum it up,Heep? Add "or can't understand it",too.

Yeah, it does.

Mr Ellis, tsk, tsk, that is a shameless plug on your part. And need I point out the similarities between MY name and that of your character. Take out the "sme" and well.....close enough.

"Yes, it was a shameless plug. All authors--and this goes even for the bestselling ones--are shameless and will take any publicity they can get."---NICK KISMET

Thanks,Mr Ellis. I guess some people here don't understand that "shameless plug" isn't an insult.
It's a right--LOL !!

"As to whether Nick Kitt can make any claim on Nick Kismet...well, I can only say that I've been a member here and using that as my screen name since Sept. 2004, almost two years before Mr. Kitt made his first appearance. I'm sure it's just a coincidence, though I'd love to think that I inspired someone to adopt a particular Nick-name. I don't see anyway that it could possibly be construed the other way around."---NICK KISMET

I wasn't trying to construe anything, really. Just having a laugh at your expense. But,truth be told, Nick Kitt was the name I used in the military back in 1969. Nothing sinister, just had to create distance from my Dad who was a full bird colonel. I've been using it since then and I don't mean to suggest you saw it somewhere and named your character after it. Just my name since the late 60's and it's served me well.

LOL !!!--I rest my case, your honor.....

Wow. You know, I originally had a big detailed post about Matt Reilly's books and whether this discussion was relevant, but then I decided just to have some fun. Since the original discussion was "if you like Cussler, then you might like Matt Reilly, I felt it was appropriate to take that the next step.

Yes, it was a shameless plug. All authors--and this goes even for the bestselling ones--are shameless and will take any publicity they can get.
