Wha?

Oh is that MM in Reign of Fire? Yeah this guy looks like a real wuss!

And as to him being only in love stories, thats all wrong. Just check his list of movies he has been in at imdb.com to see that he has played a versatile range of charectarst in as many stories.

Right you are! Pitt he 'ain't'!!
Too young--too plastic. ONLY IF they plan on making all CC books into movies, then he can just age thru time--but I doubt that is the plan.
I will go see the movie, buy the movie and buy the DVD, but I am still not happy with the choice. angry.gif

My initial reaction was the same, but i'm really warming to the idea now, i've seen him in Contact which proves he can act, U571 no wussiness(sp?) in that but haven't seen reign of fire so can't comment on that.

Seems to me he's a versatile actor and my girlfriend reckons he's very good looking so give the guy a break he's going to be doing it wether we like it or not and don't forget CC has approved this choice and who are we to question his judgement.

Lets make up our minds once we've actually seen the finished product.

MM wouldn't be my first pick but you have to give the guy a chance. If he does terrible then bash, bash, bash away. biggrin.gif

To me Matt doesn't seem to reflect the description of Dirk, and although he may be a good actor I don't see him pulling off playing Dirk. first of all he's a pretty boy. Dirk has been beaten, battered, and bruised in many of his adventures. I just don't see how Matt can possibly pull it off, he doesn't have thwe scars. maybe sooner or later (hopefully sooner) Hollywood will see the fact that Cive has a big following. We can't be fooled! I would rather an actor like Bruce Willis give it a go!
Bruce has that talent of witty banter like Dirk and I can see him pulling off playing Dirk in a more realistic portrayal. Any comments guys it's just my opinion, but I really think Bruce can do it

Willis? Nooooooooh! I love his movies, but he definetly aint no Pitt! I think MM can do it, though he was not my first choice.

OKAY OKAY you all seem to want to know who I would like to do it. My main choice would be Hugh Jackman. If you want some other poeple I think can let me do it better just let me know. Also I think the perfect guy to play Massarde could be the guy who was the frenchmen in Matrix Reloaded and Matrix Revolutions. He is the epiphany of a rich guy who thinks he can get anything he wants. I think Samuel Jackson would be and good Kazim. He may not be quite as Arab looking as the part calls for but he's good at Playing The Bad Guy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK NOW!!!!!!!i still don't like MM

MM looks a bit soft, that's true. But Zahn as Al is even worse, so MM as Pitt isn't that bad.
Besides, I can't picture any actor as Pitt right now. So MM is not that bad compared to any other actor. Compared to Pitt he's not Pitt, but compared to..umm.. Tom Cruise wink.gif MM sure is Pitt!
