Who's falling behind with all these Cusslers coming out?

I only just got The Thief, and now I'm going to be at least 3 books behind. It's bloody depressing

I just don't have the money or the time to read any more...even more bloody depressing

I am so far behind. I have the time to read but I don't have the money to keep buying books like I use to when I was working.I don't like the one series he writes. I just like the Dirk Pitt, Kurt Austin, and Oreagon books. Nothing till birthday to bring a new book. sad.gif

I am several books behind too because I have both public and my library books to read too. And looking for a job too, my credit card takes a beating, buying these new Cussler books. s18.gif

Cut loose everything non-Dirk Pitt? Reading and collecting Cussler these days can be overwhelming! s18.gif

As I mostly listen to audio-books and have a real good source, I digged myself through all the Pitt, Austin, Fargo and Oregon-stuff inside several month. But I didn`t touch the Isaac Bell- adventures yet, cause I noticed, if you read too much of all these in a row, some things are re-appearing from one book to another, for example a ship in the dessert in all variations, and then it starts getting kind of.... I don`t know how to say without being misundertood... but some kind of annoying. Or predictable. Or so.

I'd leave DP and the Oregon as the main books and ditch everything else. Numa Files has lost it's charm now that Paul's gone...
I was in the bookstore last night and yes I'm now 3 books behind ohmy.gif

Rowan I hope things are going well with your girlfriends cancer. I just read this today but I hope she's doing well.

I'm still on top of all the books and just finished The Storm. I liked it and now waiting until Sept (???) when the next book comes out. There is a good possibility of a saturated market but I truly enjoy all the books equally. I just take them for what they are and just enjoy them. I don't read a whole lot outside of Cussler with a few exceptions so I guess that frees me up to wait on new books.

The one book I like the least are the Fargos but their last book was pretty interesting and they have a new writer from my understanding so I am willing to give them another book or two.

Maybe my standards are too low but I rarely read a bad book. There have been a few where I start them and either labor through it or just give up on it. I read everyone's critiques on here and I can see what they are talking about but it doesn't matter to me because I still enjoyed the book. I'm not saying their opinion is wrong but I guess I'm easier to please.

You know with that attitude you would think I wouldn't be single at this point in my life.......... dry.gif
