I can't remember but there's one which he and Al fight off a force of bad guys in a mine and he uses his Thompson? Which book is that and are there others? Thanks!

I beleive the book your thinking of is Treasure. I can't remember any other books with the Thompson in them off the top of my head.

If memory serves me correct, Dirk also uses Thompson SMG in Deep Six.

Thank you very much. I was able to locate my copy of Treasure and it contains the battle that I was thinking of. Unfortunately, my copy of Deep Six is nowhere to be found but i'll check on it as well.

It was near the end of book,chase of riverboat after the barge down the river to open deep water.
