do you really think that the ghosts of the people who died to build it would go away and let you be in peace there? It is another sad story in the last centry of our history.I just finished reading "The Shadow Divers" (again) and the U-869 and many other German Submarines were built there. The men who died on the subs were to be pitied as much as you can allow yourself to. Many of the men didn't have much of a choice and knew they were never comming back. What a terrible thing to set out with. I myself would let the building die of old age. Something so many people didn't get to do under Hitler's rule. |
