There seems to be conflicting information about who is playing the role of General Kazim in the movie, Sahara. At one point we thought the role was filled by Delroy Lindo, but it may well be that Lennie James has the part
This from Times Newspapers ; "For now his acting is taking him to Morocco, where he’s landed the part of a Malinese military dictator in the film Sahara, starring Matthew McConaughey and Penélope Cruz. After this he is aiming to write and direct two movie projects of his own." I think they would both be good for the part. THey are both wonderful actors and that's all i'm really worried about. They've both proven very well they can be angry black guys.

IMDb has said that Delroy Lindo has landed the role of a CIA Agent Carl (not in the book), and that Lennie James will be playing General Kazim. However, IMDb's information does happen to change...

Though not familiar with Lindo or James, the bio provided by DP indicates the man should do well in the role, we'll see. Unfortuatly, if there are any more delays we'll all be old and gray before we have the chance to see if the movie is any good or not.

I've never seen Lennie James before, but I have seen Delroy Lindo and liked his work.
