I just finished this book and really liked it. But I do wish that the intro of Dirk's kids was done a bit different, it felt completely different than the rest of the story and seemed a little out of place. Other than that I was great and fun to sea the 2,000 leages under the sea twist.

Other than Chase I thought this was Clives best book....I haven't read it again since it came out.
I have every book he ever wrote in hardback, and ready them over and over again. The ending floored me, when Clive answered the door. Knowing he wrote this before 911 shows his insight on world events. For those who haven't read it yet, be ready for an adventure like no other... ![]() This post has been edited by malason on Aug 21 2008, 08:19 PM |

Valhalla Rising is the worst Cussler book I have ever read. The most serious problem is its shortness in relation to the story and its possibilities. To make the most of it the book should have been at least 50 % longer.
