QUOTE (Nick Kitt @ Oct 28 2006, 01:29 PM)
Well, I don't know what to tell you. What's with the "ouch"? I made one silly remark about you getting out and in the next line I said it was a joke. "Only kidding" was the very next line. I don't know who put the pea under your mattress but it wasn't me.

Speaking of contracts, did you by any chance read the one for this forum, word for word when you checked the "I Agree" box? Cute comment about the pea but that isn't my line of royalty, if I remember the story correctly it was a princess right?

You dabbled in contract law correct? If so you should have some pull with some lawyer friends of yours and see what the trial will be about. Actually that just gave me a great idea!!

I think most of us here have the common sense to know that people are not going to bow to Cussler - in a court of law or anywhere else for that matter, I don't think that was ever suggested, unless I just missed it?? Which is highly likely.

I figured this thread was for people to discuss whether they wanted to see more movies along the Sahara vein or not, and my answer to that is: personally legal procedure never entered my mind, what happens in the court room, happens. Nothing anyone can do about it, but if it was up to me I'd like to see more DP movies that keep more in the vein of the book...not exactly the same obviously since that would be an unreasonable wish, even in my mind. wink.gif

That Dirk Pitt is a dangerous man, you should hear some of the things he's called me. laugh.gif

No good,Empress, the lawsuit is in LA. I live on the east coast, upstate New York, right where NIGHT PROBE happened. So if it's ever made into a movie and filmed on location,I guess we all will have a great time. I will, anyway.Speaking of cute comments, you posted some time ago that you would "whore" yourself out to be on the set of NIGHT PROBE. The less said about that the better since it's my neighborhood. Hey,those were YOUR words !!!!! But if all goes well in LA I guess we WILL be seeing NIGHT PROBE after all. You are right about the royality, but I didn't think it made a difference because you are so easily offended and can't take a little joke. And,loren1, there is nothing to learn, really,I am beginning to understand the people here quite well.(CUE DRAMATIC MUSIC). So,any lawyer friends I have are here in the east and they agree with me that is what probably WILL happen if Bristol Bay's lawyers are any good, which they are or this wouldn't be the start of a possible three month trial.

DO NOT EVER do my ship the injustice of misplacing her!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is not in Upstate New York, that would be the Doodlebug part of the story, and if I have anything to do with it she will not be filmed there. Get your facts straight before you ever post this kind of junk again. Do I make myself clear??!!!

Mate you're hilarious. You say you understand us quite well by now?
Judging by your *whore* comment directed at Empress you know nothing.
There is no bigger Night Probe fan on this earth than Empress, she can tell you details about that ship that even the builders wouldn't know...yes she said it first but everyone around here knows what she would do to make even a small appearance in a movie about that ship.

I believe she said it first but you should really try and get to know us before making dumb assumptions about us.You know what people say when you *assume* things about people

I'll give you credit for not giving up on your one sided argument though...you're a tenacious little fella thumbsup.gif

Heep, WHY would we now want him to get to know us now??? There is nothing there that we need to know. He has presented himself and it wasn't a nice impression. It's to bad he lives in New York. It's giving the state a bad name. I can't even begin to imagin what state would want him now. If his friends are lawyers they really need to look for new friends.

You are being VERY nice calling him Tenacious. laugh.gif

Nick Kitt - In case you missed my post under another topic, here it is... it applies to this same topic.

I have been reading all the 'rants' and nasty sarcasm of yours, Nick Kitt, and personally its irritating the crap out of me.

Nick, I appreciate and respect that you have your own opinion on things regarding the movie and trial, and that you are voicing it. However, and I think most will agree with me, its the way you're voicing your opinion that is ticking everyone off. Its not that we're a clique, its your attitude, your patronizing comments to people replying to your posts, and nasty sarcasm that is turning people off to wanting to even listen to you. I'm all for a good debate, but when people like you come at others in such an antagonistic way, no one wants to hear it. Why don't you go back and read some of your posts and listen to your tone and maybe you'll see yourself in a different light. You keep referring to "all you people... you're a big clique, etc." For as big as a group as we are, we all seem to be saying the same thing, so I doubt that the whole lot of us can be wrong - this is with regard to your sarcasm and aproach to debate.

You can have a healthy, hearty debate without being ignorant.

My $.02

Hi all!Sorry for taking this post a bit off topic, but I was wondering if any of the board members here have any information on the trial.

I realize an individual can attend a public trial and watch the proceedings, but as I live in Phoenix and the trial is apparently being held in Los Angeles, that option isn't viable. Is there another way to get information on the trial?I have searched on Google and Yahoo for a bit but can't turn up anything other than the fact that there is a trial.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.Great forum BTW.Thanks.

Matt

The trail has been delayed again.

I just checked the original post by J-Doc, it's been postponed until January.
