You're right, that poster is so cool.
I like the original (which we also got in the UK), but this one is more 'dramatic' and has that touch of "Raiders..." about it.
I always thought that Paramount never promoted the movie as strongly as they should have done - maybe they thought if they lost money then they wouldn't have to give as much to Clive??!!

I know this is the fan art forum and this discussion is better suited for the Movies forum, but you might be on to something. I've always believed Sahara would have scored bigger at the box office had it been promoted successfully. Word of mouth has carried it as far as it has come. My parents saw it a couple of weeks ago and loved it!
