From the pictures I see of Penelope Cruz for Sahara I notice her hair is black, but as I've read Sahara I see "Her red-gold hair was tied in a long braid that fell down her back almost to her waist and glistened under the sun like polished copper..." but wouldnt they want her hair that color?

I doubt whether the producers, the director or anyone else on the set of Sahara would be aware of Eva Rojas's hair color.

One would think they'd want to keep to the apperance of the book version. Just pointing it out

What he said. I just read Sahara again, and from the look of the trailer, Hollywood has taken some liberty's with the book. But at least there are some classic lines right out of the book that I've seen in the trailer. |

Really? It's been awhile since I read the book. What lines did you pick up on, because I didn't think I noticed any at all. |

I think I'm wrong, I was just looking through the book and I swore that Al and Dirk say respectively,
'Do you know where we're going?!?!?' 'I have no idea, but we're making excellent time.' It's when they make Kitty Mannock's plane into the sand skif... Sounds like something they would say in their witty banter. It is in the trailer however. |

I'm pretty sure that that line was in the book but I could be wrong. Nevermind just went through that part and all I could find that was said was "Where's Lawrence of Arabia when you need him?" This post has been edited by Mandasy123 on Feb 20 2005, 03:48 AM |
