I have recently obtained a old print of a sailing ship called the Louise, possibly moored in Copenhagen.
This ship name has been mentioned previously in the discussion board as it was eventually wrecked off South Georgia.
I wondered if there are there any colour photos of the wreck that may help with identifying if the ship is the same one as in my picture. It has cream outer paintwork and a green band , and red sails.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for the picture. There is a lot of weathering and cannot make out clearly if there are any paint colours.

I am going to go to the Scott Polar Research Centre next week to look at an article on Captain Larsen. Will add a post if I find anything.

This is a link to a copy of the picture.

Thank you for another two pictures of the ship. This gives more detail of the structure. Am going to the Scott Polar research Institute tomorrow.

I am writing a paper on LOUISE and would like to hear from anyone with information about her. She had a pretty colorful career (cotton carrier, Cape Horner, involved in a South American Naval War, legal entanglements due to a collision) all before she was renamed Louise and involved in the Baltic timber trade let alone Larsen's commercial Antarctic whaling enterprise.
