Some basic rules for the Discussion section:

1. No FLAMING or FLAME BAITING. Flaming is essentially insulting someone, or talking rudely to a fellow boardmember. You do that, you get a warning. You get enough warnings, I ban you. And you might also incur my eternal enmity which, really, is not a good thing.

2. Avoid SPAMMING. Spamming in BBs is basically making a post that is not IN-THREAD. You can occassionally say something Off-Thread (or OT), but please try to limit that. Too much spamming and I will erase those posts, or close off the thread. Too much spamming by one member, and I give you a warning, too.

More rules to follow. But as Liberals, I expect everyone to (1) respect the views of their fellowman, and (2) exercise a certain level of decorum and decency.

Rule No. 3

MINIMIZE profanities, people.

Yes, JUST minimize.

What I mean is, I can understand the occassional cussing - we all love a good PI everynow and then, yes? - but I will NOT tolerate excessive coarse language in this BBS.

Also, I will NOT tolerate DIRECTLY cussing members of the Boards.

Suggestion No. 1 series of 2006 (hehe, resolution ba ito'?)

Kuya Rob I would like to suggest to implement to this BB the ANTI TXT-SPEAK (using of txt-lingo like: instead of saying "Hu u" instead of "who are you".)

Suggestion No. 2

Please avoid using TECHNICAL COLORS (using of different colors in a word)

Suggestion No. 3

Please avoid using too much styles in text like this: hI gUyZ NiCe mEeTinG yOu..

Handa ng harapin ang mundo
Kaya’t gising na kaibigan
Buksan ang ‘yong isipan
At subukang pakinggan
Ang tinig ng karamihan
Ang boses ng kabataan
Gising na kaibigan ko

I like your ideas, Khris. Sige ako with 2 and 3 but I think I'll be lenient with 1. Of course, it IS a mark of mental discipline if we stick with conventional spelling.

Oh, yes: you CAN write in Filipino. The only problem is that foreigners MAY be reading the Boards, like our friends from YLDA and IFLRY.

Oh, well. We'll just translate as we go along.
