Link's Father(s), a parent so bad we never even saw them in the game, apparently in some far off land leaving his child in the care of a tree, or another family member. Its thought that he might have died but we see no evidence of that. Apparently somewhere they all leared how to fly or build an airplane and fly out of hyrule beause theres no other friggen way to get around the moutains, and instead of doing the sensible thing and taking his family away from a land repeatedly beset by evil, they just up and vanish.

King Cold of Dragon Ball Z who raised two kids, both of which are complete jerks, racists and all around evil people. After his son Freizza after being rebuilt as a cyborg and forced to go to earth to kill Goku who they passed on the way, but in a move of bad parent hood allowed the dumbass to skip the pod and go to earth which instead of forcing the spoiled brat to just blow it up they landed and got Owned by trunks. Soon after getting over the greif of his son's death ((all of five seconds)) he offers his son's killer rulership of part of the galaxy.

As I recall, Link's father was implied to have been killed in the vicious battle that, during which, his mother left him in the Deku Tree's care. Or something like that. It's been a long time.

In any case, I'm going with King Cold on this one. While he's not the worst father in the world (or even in his universe), Link's father doesn't really count.

You have NO IDEA what happened to him, and regardless, it's not like he completely abandoned Link.

I am being devils advocate when I am saying links dad abandoned him though, I think King Cold is the worst one either way but its still possible.

Actually when you think about it King Cold is a really horrible father, he did betray his dead son to his killer with little remorse or thought.

Eh. King Cold's just an idiot in general, really. For a father, he certainly didn't act like it; who was really in charge in their dynamic, Cold or Frieza?

Eh, I'm voting for Cold, but only because I really don't consider Link's father applicable. He never had time to be a bad father, 'cause he just sort of died... I really don't consider Cold a bad parent either. Lousy person and a tyrant, perhaps, but he probably treated his kids with the utmost care. How else could Frieza get that snobby? :P

Frieza got that snobby by being spoiled rotten due to his father cowtowing to his every whim.

I think that's worse than leaving your child with a loving (I assume?) foster-family for unknown reasons, possibly because you died... (I don't think dying really counts as being a bad parent, since it would've been in a war most likely).
