Title: What's the longest word you know?

Grandmaster Jogurt - June 16, 2005 06:19 AM (GMT)
Real words only.

MikePB - June 16, 2005 06:26 AM (GMT)
Antidisestablishmentarianism.

Red - June 16, 2005 06:26 AM (GMT)
antidisestablishmentarianism. terianism? dunno forgot the exact spelling.

Grandmaster Jogurt - June 16, 2005 06:29 AM (GMT)
I'll leave this up for a bit. If anyone says my word before I do, it will, as the kids these day say, torque my jaws.

Red - June 16, 2005 06:32 AM (GMT)
QUIET YOU. NO CHEATING.
-YOUR FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD GESTAPO

Red - June 16, 2005 06:34 AM (GMT)
double posting cause...

The longest word is Smiles. cause It has a mile in between.

Grandmaster Jogurt - June 16, 2005 06:36 AM (GMT)
You cheat and you still miss one...

Red - June 16, 2005 06:39 AM (GMT)
yeah.. I know. I fail it because I didn't copy the whole article.

Oh well. i didn't really wanna spoil your game.

Grandmaster Jogurt - June 16, 2005 06:43 AM (GMT)
Well, um... LOOK OVER THERE! Certainly don't look at that one post of yours! For if you do, only CERTAIN DEATH awaits!

I had Red's permission to remove his EVIL CHEATINGZORZ, so... yeah.

Red - June 16, 2005 06:51 AM (GMT)
Cause the part of me that likes to win suppressed my common sense and rational thinking. ^_^

Grandmaster Jogurt - June 16, 2005 06:52 AM (GMT)
>.>
<.<
Now that's a funny response, Red...

:P

Red - June 16, 2005 07:00 AM (GMT)
and true to boot!

Grandmaster Jogurt - June 16, 2005 07:03 AM (GMT)
Well, anyways, my word is a very big one. VERY big.

Grandmaster Jogurt - June 16, 2005 07:10 AM (GMT)
Only one try per person. And no looking things up.

Knight - June 16, 2005 07:25 AM (GMT)
Well.... supercalifragilisticexpialidocious actually appears in some dictionaries, but I don't know if that counts...

Antidisestablishmentarianism is the longest one I can actually spell... but there's a disease out there that has a longer name...

Edit: Seeing as I guessed already, I did some reasearch and found the disease. ... please don't get it, you'd be dead before they finished telling you what you caught. :P

AngerFork - June 16, 2005 06:05 PM (GMT)
Is it by chance the lung disease "Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis?"

If so, more trivia for you...what is the only english word to use every single vowel (excluding Y) exactly once?

arginylserine is the longest actual word at 1913 characters.

It's in turkey.

Newb - June 21, 2005 03:19 PM (GMT)
silly GJ, "That chemical in turkeys with the long name" is 43 characters with the spaces, and 36 without them. and this is relevant because nobody will ever remember that methiomathingy name long enough to say it! :P

Robotech Master - July 2, 2005 06:33 AM (GMT)

Pneumonia.

I read your question and that's the first word that popped into my head. Scary.

AngerFork - July 12, 2005 02:13 PM (GMT)
Nice job, Hawk! *hands over a cookie*

Apparently, there is more than one of these words, because I had a different word in mind. Now then, who can guess the smallest real word to use all five vowels?
