Carmichael's "Art", 'cause I never do commissions anyway

Hey again, hey again. Those of you from Buzz may remember that I had a thread for commission work. Currently I'm doing work for Broken Worlds, and a couple of personal projects, but I still have (and probably always will) time to do a drawing of you, your avatar, or your character if it pleases you.
There are no real rules per se... write a decent description of yourself (either in this thread itself, private message, or IM), include a sprite sheet or reference picture if you have one (a link will do, you don't need to paste it in your message), and let me know if it's alright to show the rest of the forum the progress. If you haven't seen my art style yet, feel free to look at my Deviant Art gallery here, or by clicking on my banner below. The only real catch is since it's free, it may take me some time to get the pic complete. But fear not! It will eventually get done.

Sorry guys, don't mean to double post, but I wanted to transfer Shadow Warrior Luke's info onto this forum with the move and all. Also, this is a pretty good example what what to type if anyone become interested in a drawing.

So... yeah.

So, Car, what would you say if I gave you this..

Meep! You guys just took my avatar and ran with it (some amazing sprite work by the way). That's Susan from El Goonish Shive, and I'd really rather not steal an existing character, so... Yoink! *steals Luke's description format instead*

Hair: Blonde, pulled back into a ponytail (often pulled out the back of a baseball cap, for reference on where the hair is gathered together)
Eyes: Hazel, tend to shift with mood from brown-tinted to green-tinted.
Clothing: In this, I think I'll just steal Susan's outfit from the avatar, just for simplicity sake. Although... could you work red into the outfit somewhere? Not the whole thing, but some of it (the t-shirt, maybe)?
Pose: The avatar pose works, but I'll leave this one mostly to you Carmichael.

Okay... how does that work? Any problems? Anything else I should add?

Yeah, I did notice that Rook had joined the cast, but I couldn't think of anything to say without it comming out wrong. Eventually I saw something shiny and forgot all about it. Anyway, glad there's another female to draw for the cast... not nearly enough. (...see? I'm not sure if that's appropriate or not!)

Onto the commission!

Now, if you'd like, I could draw you in the super form. That wouldn't be a problem at all (also, I plan to draw everyone a couple of times, so you'll get your other form at some point in time). Assuming that you don't though, let me ask you about your current one.
Are your pants and jacket made of denim, or are they more of a dickies material? I can make your shirt red without a problem, but did you want it a darker red, or more of a bright red? Also, shoes: are those sneakers, or a low-heel dress shoe? Would you like socks, or should the pants come down far enough where it would cover any visible skin on your feet and ankles? Also, how you you like the pants to be? I can make them low-rise, baggy, raver, tight, bellbottoms, boot-cut, button fly... let me know.

Most of those questions are just details, so don't feel rushed for time. I still have a little bit more to do on Shadow Warrior Luke, so I'll get started on yours tomorrow at work. Also, would you like me to show everyone the progress of this, or would you prefer for me to wait until it's finished before showing? I show people their drawing when it's sketched, then when it enters line art, so if you'd like, I can also show the forum these stages, too. That's completely up to you.

And thank you, Just Jon and Rook, for posting in here... for a moment I thought I was going to have to do a triple post when I finished Shadow Warrior Luke!

My pants and overshirt are denim, I prefer brighter reds (and I don't want to squelch artistic enjoyment, but could you make that a full t-shirt?), my shoes are casual, with... umm... *runs off for a second* here:

That's them. Feel free to mess with the colors if the white or burnt yellow doesn't fit well. My socks are just the plain white low-ankle variety, and I'll leave the length of the pants for you to judge which looks better (or which is easier to draw. ^^). My jeans are a loose enough cut to be comfortable, (wannabe spandex jeans? No thank you) but not loose. Pretty generic otherwise.

I certainly don't have any problem with you showing people the sketches as you go along, so that's up to you. I know i'd love to see the process you follow when drawing.

Car keeps the person he's drawing always up to date on how things are coming. He just wants to know if he should make things publin before it's done or just wait until the whole thing's finished.

The pencils are more or less done on it, I need to photoshopicate it, though. There are a few things that I need to arrange before I get it done though... which is why I haven't really drawn anything recently. I wanted to make sure everything is in order before I get there. Soon, though. Soon...

Heh, originally as I was drawing it, I was worried that a couple of people that partake in it might be offeneded, but I'm not really worried about that anymore.

And Shadow Warrior Luke, I should be able to send you yours tomorrow sometime. Sometime around 1 pm, westcoast time. Er... I'll let you handle the math on when that'll be for you.

JJ's avvy looks like it has huge ears... or earmuffs. The brown makes it look seperate from the hair.

Can't be helped. All I have is charas.ex, and this is the only decent ponytail thhave that didn't look completely feminine.

Any of these look better to you, or did I butcher what you were looking for?

If you could get the one on the left to make it look like the hair is being pulled back before it gets to the shoulders, that'd be great.

Looks like a completely black version of Proto Man's helmet. Without the sunglasses. Which reminds me, I should really get going on the Megaman comic again some time. Oh yeah, it could use some shading. The solid black doesn't look right to me.
