Fun Fact: This thread shouldn't be spammed. Only fill it with stuff that is actually true and/or at least somewhat enlightening. Real Fun Facts, not "lolz the sky is blue".

Fun Fact: The concept of Jamais vu is not only the opposite of déjà vu (feeling like you've never seen something when you know you have), it's also what happens when you write down a word or say it and you for some reason get doubts that it's a real word.

Every day 20 banks are robbed. The average take is only $2,500!

Tablecloths were originally meant to be served as towels with which dinner guests could wipe their hands and faces after eating!

A jiffy (as in "in a jiffy") is an actual unit of time for 1/100th of a second

A hedgehog's heart beats 300 times a minute on average, that's an average Hedgehog. No word about Sonic

Florida is bigger than England.

Fun fact that totally works in the context of rules posted by GJ: Immy thinks this needs to be moved to the spam forum as most of the forum games that don't have an "end" are in there already.

It's not a game. It's supposed to be for facts you discover that are actually interesting and/or thought-provoking and you want to share.

Sir Issac Newtwo invented the swinging door... for the convenience of his cats.

Most dogs run an average of 19 mph.

Ancient Egyptians could be put to death for mistreating a cat.

In ancient Rome, it wasn't offically dark until you could no longer tell the difference bewteen a dog and a wolf howling in the distance.

John Candy once paid $19,000 for a German Shepherd. (He didn't know the average price for a German Shephard was $1,500.)

In the year 2000, Pope John Paul II was named an "Honorary Harlem Globetrotter." I don't think they ever let in play in any games, though.

In England, in the 1880's, "Pants" was considered a dirty word.

Richard Horvitz, famous as the voice of Invader Zim, was also the voice of Alpha 5 in the original Power Rangers.

And a couple Digimon; Birdramon and Garudamon I've heard. >_0

Fun Fact: This actually isn't true.

The avatar is based on that combination, but was actually made from those sprites plus a Kirby parasol plus some hand carving. Its actual source is from this page at Gerbilmechs. The image itself is down there (the site's defunct), but its origins can be seen here.

Garfield the cat states that there is no such place as Wyoming

Wyoming the State has a mountain called Garfield Peak.

Actually there are six different states that have a place called Garfield Peak.

Jim Davis is from Muncie, Indiana.

On an episode of USA Acres, Roy the Rooster asked for a sandwich with a pickle shaped like Muncie.

Fun Fact:
If you powered an Imperator-class Star Destroyer purely by hamster power, the volume taken up by the wheels alone would be more than ten times that of Earth.

Because a Star Destroyer looks like something you could STAB someone with. A death star is just a big bouncyball.
