Yeah, but it'll keep healing unless you completely mangle your fingertips...

Im pretty sure that the fingertip patter will heal itself continuously, so unless you keep your fingertips like 80% scarred at all times your prints can be Identified.
Gloves are a better idea but still aren't foolproof.
