This startling exclamation aside, she begins to chow down, talking in between bites, "so ho about you? You have any pressing questions?"

"Dooood..."

Apparently, that's the Prinny substitute for 'Hmm...'

"I never got around to actually asking anyone...but where exactly am I, dood?"

"Well..." the lead scientist said, standing up.

"Dr... Dr Tyukai?" one of the other scientists interrupted, beginning to question, before immediately quieting.

"I can have one of my colleagues here brief you on all the data we've made on the rifts, but I'm afraid we really can't continue until I get some kind of binding contract, or... non-disclosure agreement signed with you."

"I would be willing to sign a Non Disclosure agreement with you, you can't after all have information fall into your competitors hands."

"Why, you're in the Americas Corporation Corporate Headquarters. Grand underground home to the shadowy secret governments, shadowy secret paramilitary organizations, and shadowy secret mad science experiments. What, are you one of the immigrants who popped out directly into here?"

Dr. Tyukai proceeded to flip out a contract, which I guess means he had it the whole time, and hands it to Ryu.

The document describes a debilitating curse with various effects that will befall Ryu if he discloses information learned from employees of the Americas Corporation to anyone not in the employ of the Americas Corporation, as well as the location, layout, or contents of the underground facility he is currently in, chiefly of which would strike relevant information from his brain and render him mute.

...and as an accomplished wizard, Ryu can feel that the contract is magically binding.

"Yeah, dood." The Prinny answered. "I'm not really WITH the other two, we were just ru-*ahem* fighting these things, and kinda found a portal that led us here."

"Wait, there are another two newbies here somewhere? I'll have to look around."

She paused after taking another bite, "so... what was your price?"

"Power, dood!" The Prinny said. "I might be a human soul, but I AM currently a demon, dood!"

"Sounds like a good choice, to me," Anara said, wryly.

"Holy sh--" Neko cried, jumping out of the way and rolling once to get back on her feet. Taking the brief chance she had, she ran towards him again, ducking low to get right in front of him and placing her hands on the ground to brace herself and kicked upwards as hard as she could, aiming at his chin to send him flying in the air.

Neko's kick swings upwards, colliding with... air. Her opponent had arced his chest backwards, narrowly dodging the blow to his noggin'.

Oh, my... and, it seems... to help wind up. Neko could see devastating hay-maker coming as he threw his fist forward from its far back starting position.

Ryu stares at the contract and signs it without hesitation

"Good- good," the lead scientist says, as most of the others begin filing out of the room, "I think I'll go check up on your compatriots now- you have a good time now."

...and with that, he as gone. A few of the others stuck around in the room, presumably to give Ryu the lowdown.

One of them approached the terminal, starting, "so where to begin? Historical context? Compositional make-up? Realities we know we've bridged to? What's the most pressing thing you want to know?"

"I would like a full rundown of political powers at play on this world....and any major swamps on the planet."

Neko crossed her arms defensively in front of her to absorb the blow, but couldn't keep herself braced enough to keep her from getting knocked backwards. Using the momentum from the hit, she did a handspring backwards to put some distance between them as she crouched down with one hand on the floor in front of her, eying the elemental.

"Hmm... not so used to an actual opponent. This is getting fun," she said, smirking.
