Pokémon RP - Chapter 9, A New Story In The Land of Sinnoh!

"UG?"

He looks around, trying to get a better view of the place.

The stinging cold of the almost entirely ice floor is what wakes Kyosuke from his sleep.

Sitting up and looking around, he can only see two other figures near him. Alexis is rubbing her head and trying to regain her bearings. Coral is unconscious.

Wherever they are, it's dark and completely frozen. Nothing is here, seemingly, but the walls aren't even visible from this place in the room...

Clyde is about to just leave Hearthome in a random direction when he spots a building that stands out. It stands out very easily since it is very large and very ornate. Almost like some sort of cathedral. Because it is a cathedral. The Creed's Hearthome Cathedral.

Oh yeah, I was going to check them out and see what kind of group they were.

Clyde heads inside the Hearthome Cathedral.

Kyosuke shakes his head and checks himself, alexis and Coral for any visible injuries while having Magneton try and increase the abysmal lighting

"The UG. You know," Three mutters, realization dawning that he does not know. "There's an unruled society rooted under Sinnoh, now. It hasn't been there long, but it might be called the most dangerous place in or of the region because of the lawless nature of their battles. The Galactic Corporation won't go near it."

The lift has taken the two to another branch leading east or west...

Inside the Cathedral, a baritone humming of an unknown song rings in Clyde's ears. It is a time of gathering for the church. The rows are filled with individuals, both robed and not, standing on their feet as they pray in their time of collective worry. The song is beautiful, but it is also quite sad.

At the back of the church, standing before the podium and carrying a heavy book in his hands, stands a taller, mustached man with the standard garb of the Creed over him, but his waist is also ornately decorated with the golden plate characteristic of Creed pendants.

The lighting of the chamber only serves to brighten the bright blue shine beneath them, and it becomes apparent that the three are on solid ice, not an actual floor.

Alexis rubs her head and nods to Kyosuke. "I'm okay, I think. What about..."

She turns to the other person Kyosuke examines, covering her mouth in, most likely, nausea. Thanks to Magneton, Coral's unhealthy features are much easier to see, and it's apparent to anyone with basic aid training that she has suffered from a total physical breakdown following a lengthy period of malnutrition. The fall certainly hasn't helped the self-inflicted wounds on her head and arms, but it's hard to tell if anything was broken. For certain, she's unconscious.

"What...have they done to her?" She turns to Kyosuke, hopeful. "Can you help her?"

"Oh, seems they're in the middle of something. I should probably wait until they're finished." Clyde finds someplace to sit quietly and wait, hoping to be as inconspicuous as possible so as to not disturb anything.

Garnet's attacks catch not only Empress, but Jet as well!

As they're knocked back, Empress recovers a hair faster and smashes Jet to the opposite side of the screen. Not enough to eliminate him, but at least remove him from the action for a few seconds.

Empress charges at Garnet, slamming her with a dash attack.

Kyosuke stares, trying to break down what he knows into something gentle.

"I.. I can't. She really needs to be in a hospital right now. The fall doesn't appear to have hurt her but...

Well, in such a weakened state I'm afraid to move her." Kyosuke says, confused on what to do next.

"..Say, Alexis. Don't you have a Chansey on your team?" the martial artist asked

Garnet's attacks catch not only Empress, but Jet as well!

As they're knocked back, Empress recovers a hair faster and smashes Jet to the opposite side of the screen. Not enough to eliminate him, but at least remove him from the action for a few seconds.

Empress charges at Garnet, slamming her with a dash attack.

Garnet lands, and counters with a dash attack of her own.

Empress expertly sidesteps Garnet's attack, causing her to run by harmlessly. She follows up with a quick smash attack which sends her sailing, only failing to eliminate her because Jet smacks her with a weak hit in midair, halting her momentum.

Empress stands an island apart from the trainers, and begins spamming her Taunt button.

Garnet frowns, though doesn't let it get to her too much. The only taunt she really found annoying was Princess Pecha's.

Garnet uses a dash jump, trying to get close and attack Empress while she's in the middle of her taunt animation.

Empress looks a little worried, frantically trying to move before Garnet serves her her own face.

Garnet lands directly infront of Empress, preparing to attack, when she's hit from behind by a barrage of needles by Sheiklade!

Empress seizes the opportunity and charges up a smash attack, launching the stunned Garnet off the stage and eliminating her!

But Jet's on top of her immediately afterwords, returning the favor with a smash attack of his own!

Empress goes flying, swiftly eliminated as well!

Game!

"Whew...", Jet says, wiping his brow. "Good game, you two."

Empress, rather grudgingly, nods.

Garnet sighs, disappointed, but soon smiles and nods. "Yeah."

"Okay, as the triumphant winner, I demand a kiss from both the losers!"

Empress leaps up and smacks him in the face with her rose, before trotting back to her windowsill in the bedroom.

"You're no fun, Emp!", Jet whines.

"Nope." Garnet says, hmphing.

"Awww...", Jet pouts.

Further discussion on that particular subject is preempted by the sound of a knock on the door. Jet hops to his feet and rushes to the door.

"It's about time, feels like we've been waiting since yesterday for this!", Jet exclaims. He opens the door, where a cute brunette girl in a delivery outfit is holding a fair-sized bag.

"Oh, hey, Tiff, didn't know they moved you to delivering. What happened to Freddy?", he asks.

"They got rid of all of the delivery boys. Got tired of them giving up their stuff for nothing more than a wink and a peck on the cheek." 'Tiff' says, scoffing.

They both smirk at each other, as if remembering a joke. They both speak at once, "I'm sorry but isn't there some other way I can pay for it...?"

The two burst out laughing.

"Hahaha, that was hilarious.", Jet says, "I totally thought you were serious that time, too."

She rolls her eyes, "You *would.* Now are you gonna pay me or what?"

Jet snorts, "Yeah, yeah, don't get your panties in a wad...", he says, digging in his pockets for some money. He hands her the payment for the food, but she pauses, frowning.

"Hey! Tip is fifteen percent!", she says, indignantly.

"Oh, right, right.", he says, sheepishly handing her a little bit extra.

Satisfied with the proper amount, the delivery girl hands Jet the bag of food, peeking over his shoulder. She raises an eyebrow as she catches sight of Garnet. "Wow, how'd a guy like you manage to score a total 10 like that one?"

Jet smirks at first, but then frowns. "Hey, what do you mean an 'guy like you'?"

'Tiff' grins, "You know, a clumsy, dopey, thick-headed..."

Jet looks at her dryly, "Yes, I get-"

"Loose-fingered..."

"I get it already, thank you!"

"Skirt-chasing..."

Jet slams the door on her, but he's grinning despite himself.

They can both hear her laughing echo down the halls.

"...You really do have quite the reputation here." Garnet says.

"Heh.", Jet chuckles, "Guilty as charged. It's thanks to M...my pen pal, really. She's the one who convinced me that just staying cooped up all the time wasn't healthy. She practically ordered me to go out and start interacting with other people."

"And, well, you live anywhere long enough you start to make a name for yourself, y'know?" He says, carrying the bag of food over to the small table by the couch. He sets it down, and heads into the kitchen, taking out a couple of plastic cups, and a large jug of water from the refrigerator. "Sorry, Melody, it's not exactly champagne, I know, but it's either this or tap water.", Jet says, making a face.
