I had more fun soloing Emerald with Mudkip than I did playing straight, to be honest. I would always get cockblocked by Liza and Tate with a team, because they'd be underleveled.
With Swampert, I just Surf-spammed the shit out of them. I only ever had a problem with Wallace's Ludicolo, and that was just because Ice Beam was a 5HKO after Giga Drains. EDIT: Not that I'd suggest soloing B/W, mind you. The change to experience gaining is a pretty big discouragement to soloing. This post has been edited by Notty on Feb 5 2012, 12:01 AM |

Heh. The new experience formula poses as a slight challenge, but I guess it didn't affect me as much as it does other people since I got the Victini offered on the game's release. And, to be fair, I only semi-soloed the game, anyway. I think I had a backup in case Victini fell.
So...yeah, just ignore my advice about soloing the game unless you're a grinder. -------------------- "Yes, the twelve legendary weapons. They are weapons. They are legendary. There are even twelve of them." - Sage Ghido, Final Fantasy V

I have discovered Audino.... I think I like it.

I like Audino too...for the experience.
Funfact: Audinos give out more experience per level than any other Pokemon. Yes, all 600 and something of them. EDIT: They're also quite easy to find. Just stand around until you see the grass shaking, then run into it. Depending on where you are, you'll most likely run into an Audino. It's also not a bad Pokemon in it's own right. I had an Audino with Attract, Charge Beam, and Round and used it all the way from the beginning of the game to the E4.

Okay, time for a random, last second, thought-of-it-at-work Super Bowl guessing game!
The game - If you can guess 1) Which team will win the Super Bowl, 2) What the final score will be, and 3) Which team I personally pick to win, all correctly, then you'll get a Sinnoh starter for free! |

My guess: Giants, 28-24, neither because they're both so damn insufferable

In which mythology are silver swords effective against ghosts? Only think I know of that's weak to silver is the werewolf and the silver bullet. But who cares about werewolves? Also, Notty, since I didn't give an incorrect answer, does that mean I get a Sinnoh starter? -------------------- "Yes, the twelve legendary weapons. They are weapons. They are legendary. I actually totally originally put 21-17, but then I thought to myself... "hey, it's not the niners playing, so people will probably actually score touchdowns".
Not that I actually expected to win, what with the joke third answer. Although I was also originally gonna put your choice as "that earthquake from the Dark Knight trailer" Edit: note to self: batman, not seamster This post has been edited by Cyrus on Feb 6 2012, 08:30 AM -------------------- |

I, too, routinely confuse the Dark Knight for a common clothesmaker.
Moving right along... I've recently revamped the New Character Questionaire, so for those of you who have sent in a TCG character (Yes, TCG is still a Thing.), then say so, and I'll send you the new one to fill out. I'd do it myself, but I think a few people might have only sent theirs to Cran. |

Notty, if you have the previous TCG Questionaire I sent you, can you send it back? I have apparently lost the character notes file I had.

Wait...you guys mean TCG as in the Trading Card Game? We have an RP for that, too? Can I sign up?

It'll be set in the archipelago that the TCG video games were set in, but it won't actually be cards.
