Of course you can't update consoles here. This is a webcomic forum. I'm not seeing how that's rant worthy.

So, RPG lovers. Have you tried the Dragon age 2 demo yet? 'cause you should. Most of it is locked off, and it's really more of a gameplay demo then a story demo. But it is fun, fun new combat compared to the last game's. Try iiiit.

Did they make the inventory system less frustrating?

No idea, since the inventory (Along with customizing the character) is locked off in the demo.

I defeated Dragon Quest 9 today. No, that's not quite right. I crushed the final boss beneath my heel. He was but an ant before my party's might.

Now for the post game.

If you're willing to invest the time and energy to do so, the legacy bosses can even wipe out level 99 parties. (Tip: Max out the Paladin skill tree for everyone.)

Beyond that, the post game bosses aren't too much stronger than the final boss.

Personally, I beat the final boss in about three turns.

Yeah, first thing I did in the post game was revocate, then see if I could find Nemean. Got him straight away in a level nine grotto. Bwahaha!

Though I did accidentally keep killing him with things other than the staff attack the job required. Oh well!

heh... it is amazing what a few class skill levels will do for you, eh? Hell, the second Lleviathan gave me more of a fight than Corvus the second go around.

How is combat more fun in DA2? I tried the demo and combat just felt incredibly clunky to me. I mean, is there a simple way to set it up so that your character automatically starts attacking a new target in range once the one you just targeted dies? Also, is there any way to play it without constantly pausing?

In the previous game you basically had to pause all the time, at least on the PC version.

Did they get rid of the ability to set AI commands (like "attack nearest enemy" and such)?

Tactics are still in the game, but either they're locked out of the demo or not obviously not locked out (and since almost everything is, I didn't look too hard).

Yeah, the demo felt rather clunky to me too. Are you playing on the console or PC? I hear tell the console is actually the better choice this time around.

Games being written for the console first? What a surprise.

I downloaded it for PC, and yeah, I was already intending to try it out on 360 since I know I'm not getting it for PC now (well, and I preferred DA1 on 360, too).
