If they keep this then I would keep using it over their normal maps.

Unfortunately, I am unable to actually check it out. Could you post a screen shot?

And you can still zoom in as much as you can with the regular satellite maps; it just re-8-bit-ifies the next tier zoom.

They also have a Youtube video explaining the new feature.

I got a new computer! Whooo!

Thanks to knight.

Edit: For helping me pick it out. Not for buying it or anything.

That'd be creepy.

I dunno, I don't think I'd really mind someone I never actually met in person from the internet buying me expensive things. tongue.gif

(congratulations on the new comp, though! I still feel recent in the joys and pains of having a shitty broken computer getting replaced by a shiny new less broken one)

Having fun at PAX this year. Yesterday I even ran into Carl (didn't even know he was coming to PAX). Also there are three pictures of me on Kotaku right now from the take over Kotaku panel, I kinda went back to the hotel after the extra credits panel last night (mostly because we were tired from being up since 4am) but tonight is my concert night.

Speaking of which, transmissions are expensive.

Blender turned out to be defective and unable to hold its contents inside. Was using it to make soup, recipie involved contents of blender being extremely hot when they exploded everywhere.

Fucking OW.

Was the blender particularly cold when you poured the hot shit in it?

...you have my sympathies, though. Getting scalded is never fun.

It didn't explode per se, just fail completely to not erupt like a volcano.

Turns out, it doesn't matter how well-kept the electronics in a used blender are, if the rubber in the lid is worn down.

I usually keep one hand clasped on the lid to blenders when I'm using them, no matter what I'm blending. Usually to keep it steady, but also vaguely to keep it held together.

Turns out, with a sufficiently poor quality lid, that does not help. Water pressure from speed of churn > human [nerd] strength. Science!

Did you look into the portal to Anime Boston at any point?

I just wondered something. GJ, does your post count change when you post, or is it a static negative number? If it does, does it count toward zero or negative infinity? The thought keeps bugging me for some reason, and I seem to fail at figuring it out. >_<
