C waves are like Omega Waves, just not as awesome.

Maybe C waves are "curse waves" since Wiley maintains that Alex's stunt, specificallycursing, may have fully powered the scope!!!!! Lolololol

For some reason, I'm thinking that the Sweedish Chef might have a few clues.
Or perhaps... nah... there's no way that the Omega Scanner uses C-Waves to scan for Omega energy. That would be too much of a coincidence. I'm with Alex. How does a plasma cannon have a stun setting? I mean, by definition, shooting plasma at something is going to be quite, ah, damaging.

This isn't real plasma.
Real plasma is made of positively charged particles, which only show up when Green Megaman attacks. -------------------- a friend to psychopomps and other celestial objects

Bzzt! Wrong. Plasma is made up of ionized particles, incorporating both positive and negative charges. This is caused by the extreme temperatures that are generally needed for plasma, which keeps the ionized particles from rejoining into atoms. Though, I did get the joke. -------------------- Please do not "help" me by merging threads I make into the ridiculously large ones that seem like they have everything but the kitchen sink related to that topic.

It is shooting the fluid part of blood and also tranquillizers.

Methinks Alex has already used the "dangerous function" against a certain pair of Sinistrals.
C-waves? Definitely generated by Alex's cursing. http://www.captainsnes.com/2006/02/14/520-...snot-a-problem/ "He's using the D-cells, remember? I bet that little stunt got him up to full power." There's another comic that I can't find right now. where Ryan plays back a video of Alex swearing it up to Wily with the plasma cannon locked and loaded. Another example? |

I'm not sure why so many people assume the cursing is the D-Cells' charger. Sure it might be, but we presently have a sample size of 1, and we also have the montage cutscene that, apparently, everyone saw* instead of the actual swear down. Even that might not be necessary; the whole scene happened at "a point in time where past and future touch." I'm not so sure about the last one, though: Wily could tell it probably filled up the D-Cells, and I'm not sure how obvious slippage is to those experiencing it.
It just... strikes me as really weird that those two aberrations were around, but I've never heard any suggestion for the cause other than cursing. So, allow me to argue that 'C' might stand for 'Cutscene,' here. They unlock the Super Scope's power to kill basically by fiat -- Cutscene Power to the Max, in other words. I'm... not really sure about the mechanics, but I kind of like the idea that a cutscene is a wellspring of narrative energies (perhaps geared toward certainty or dominance; actual mechanical power isn't as important during a cutscene, after all), which the D Cells harness. So powered, the Super Scope can dictate the outcome of a future scene in a very specific way. * Off-topic: I'd forgotten Gades's "mating ritual" line. |

Heh. If C-Waves are cutscene-waves... then the Scope really is powered by the plot.
