So, why exactly is Light out to get Alex? Is the Sovereign changing his perception of what's going on? And wasn't Wily with him earlier?

Light is upset at Roll 'dying' and blames Alex since he didn't even show the gumption to go out and try to save her.

I...don't think that's quite right. Light's not the kind of person to let his personal affairs affect his judgment, I think.

Too bad, Light is Touched as well.
You don't get much more in the way of compromised judgement than that. -------------------- "How much time do you need?"
"Whatever you can get me. When the EMP goes off-" "When it goes off, I'll be fine. It only affects computers, remember? And I, am a motherfucking ghost" |

Which is why I mentioned Wily. Wasn't he there to make sure Light didn't get his judgment compromised by the Sovereign?

Wily was at Light Labs earlier, but left for... some reason. After the Wave of Sorrow/Hope/Nutshot Triple Combo and the end of the Sinistrals, I think this is the first we see of him. Presumably he excused himself after that crisis appeared to be over, eager to get his machinations underway.
At first, I got the impression Light had just decided this needed to be done, and he'd take the chance the Sovereign was screwing with his perceptions. Which seemed unfortunate, since -- as turtle said -- he'd called Wily in (in part) to make sure he wouldn't do anything unfortunate. On second thought, though, given Wily's last exchange with Light, and since Wily didn't seem to calm down for a while... Maybe the Touched Doctor thinks Wily still agrees with offing Alex, and so is moving forward on that. ---- On a more light-hearted note: those look like some fun commands in that thar instruction manual. ^__^ Also, interesting to hear it was Light and Wright who teamed up on the controller. Since, as I recall, Wily and Light worked together on the Super Scope, and apparently neither had anything to do with the Mouse... Maybe Wright helped on a project for the Queen? Mode 7 apparently was graphics hardware for snes that allowed scaling and resizing graphics... seems that the controller could make Alex's enemies smaller and himself larger... this may, incidentally, account for the giant, radioactive qbert *shrugs*

Hmm...last time we saw Max Force, he was unconscious in Addams Family World, surrounded by Koopa siblings planning to steal all his stuff.
Seems like that could lead to some interesting results when they try to get him back to Videoland. |

Well, it's hard to say. As food as a man as light is, he's kinda pragmatic.

Gato still has the controller, right? From Alex's dialogue it sounds like he's thinking he could have used it in the Sinistral fight.

I think he's saying that's what he could have done if he'd had his controller, not just if he'd known how to use it.
