Yeah, at least on InvisionBoard. I've seen it done plenty of times. InvisionFree should also have it, I would think, but I dunno. It doesn't... it leaves a blank spot that will show whatever's onscreen while the DVD player's active, but when it's saved or the player's shut down, it's black.

If you have ATI software, then there's a button you can push to take an image capture (Ctrl + Ins). However, this image is only viewable, and is unalterable (in Photoshop, anyway). BUT! If you take screen capture of the image when you're previewing it (Print screen), then paste it elsewhere, you can alter the image (which is how I got my current avatar).
If you don't have ATI software, then I'm not sure. Check whatever viewer you're using for any kind of option like that. A neat thing about that black square... if you play a video and then move the image with the black square over it, it will show the video through the black square. GJ this might be a bit late, but I had the same problem with my DVD screen caps a while ago and I just switched to PowerDVD. It has a screenshot button, and saves them to the my pictures folder.
