I'm still waiting to see if this is going to be one of those "Two nearly identical but different characters" joke.

No, it's Hippo. That's confirmed by the "Oh hey, Ale--" in panel 7.

So last week, Alex hears of the Earthbound War.
Today, he hears of Puzzle Wizard (For those who doubt, compare today's comic with this one. And there's still the whole Roll & Amon are in the desert bit. Though it seems like Locke can handle that one. Which is all well and good, because his homeworld is #2 behind Alex on the "naughty" list. Hm... what other places (and quests) will Alex learn about while in prison? And, on a side note, what was supposed to be the original end of Act II? (Reference a comic under The Super Figaro Brothers series) Was it supposed to be when Alex, well, you know... EDIT: Never mind about the Emporium... But isn't it strange that Alex hadn't fired (yet) in the footage displayed in the last panel of that comic? _Obviously_, "Brain Lord" knows perfectly well what's going on and is just screwing with Alex.

No, this seems to be fully in the "High Intelligence, Low Wisdom" character.

I object to this comic! He should be running into a wall, and complaining about useless magic. Also, am I the only one to ever choose no name for him, and get the default name, Remeer(The Faries in the game also have default names as well)

Anyone else see this as an object lesson from Videoland? I mean, one of the smartest sprites in Videoland (theoretically) coming along just seconds after he complains that nobody smart would be fooled by King Hippo's disguise.

In fairness, the proper use of a time machine (or even just a tachyonic antitelephone) would allow you to bruteforce NP into being equal to P. And well all know that Videoland has access to the former. |

My thoughts on the P equals NP problem: Multiply both sides by C. You then get:
PC = NPC. What would that mean for Videoland? This post has been edited by Sir Donald on Jul 30 2012, 05:03 PM -------------------- It's a flimsy pretext, but I'm sure that the N-Team have gotten away with worse.

Alex would kill multiple people horribly? Its more like another running gag that makes Video Land much like an old Saturday Morning Cartoon. Or Looney Tunes. But yeah Alex, I'm with you on feeling my brain hurting. Not fun. And somehow, its gonna get worse. Because nice things do not happen to Alex until he figures out how to MAKE them happen. And he doesn't have enough intel for that yet. |

You forget: Alex thinks that he is out of Ammo right now. Since he originally started out with C Cells, he doesn't know that his current D Cells are rechargeable. In short, he THINKS he's bluffing, but the gun REALLY IS loaded. -------------------- "In sorrow we must go, but not in despair. Behold! Nothing is scarier then a man with a totally loaded blaster.
Did anyone else get a Ben Franklin wave in panel 8? -------------------- "No way as way. No limitation as limitation."

Alex should think he has 1 shot left. 4, -1 (zone eater) -1 (Nexus gate) -1 (Sinistrals). Am I missing any? The conversation with Cynicism seemed to back this up, with her reference to him maybe needing that shot later.

He fired a shot at Zeromus after pulling the "look behind you" on him.

That's right. And I was confused, he didn't threaten Cynicism at their last meeting, it was much earlier.

Cameo appearances. When you're playing The Legend of Zelda: Prisoner of Azkaban and you meet a woman who's clearly Samus, that's PC equaling NPC. -------------------- |
