Hi all,
Liz has advised me that track session Wednesday evening is likely to be cancelled.
Alan Davies has agreed to coach a trixter spin session at Maindy. This starts at 7:45pm. They can take up to 20 people. The pedals on the bikes can take trainers or SPDs.
Cost on Monday was £2. Please reply to this thread if you have any questions.
Pat.
What exactly is a Trixter session, Pat? How long, how intense, how cold etc?
Cheers.
From the programme at Maindy:
"Trixter Spin
Enjoy the ultimate Indoor cycling experience and total body
workout on the revolutionary Trixter bikes. Designed to mimic
movements used in mountain biking, this class will get you burning
calories fast and is performed to motivating music. Suitable for
beginners and cycling enthusiasts alike."
Look like they are about 45 mins long...
Will it just be first come first served basis?
The session involves riding a static bike with moving handlebars, varying the resistance to pretend to climb hills in and out of the saddle, take corners, ride over cobbles or cattle grids all to music. Its fun :D and very hard work  if you put effort in, its also easy to pick up the moves. JUST LIKE RIDING A BIKE!!!!!! It gets very hot so dress for summer B) not winter :ph43r: and bring a large drink you will need it. The pedals are double sided SPD one side flat with straps the other, so trainers or SPD shoes.
If we get more than 20 we should be able to run a second session after the first.
