Next March (just before i dust off the road bike) I will be riding this classic 104 mile round trip so anyone wanting come along let me know.
the route will take on the Gap from Cardiff end and drop down into Brecon. its a 12 hour ride with a few stops but for those not up to the full route there are plenty of bail outs but would suggest if you have not ridden the gap before dont bail out until brecon. This is not a technically difficult ride but more endurance and good prep for the summer. let me know if you are interested - i'll pick a day eitherside of the reliability rides. Kevin |

Now that March has come and gone - date set for Sat May 19th. Ideal taster in prep for the Dragon Ride.
Anyone interested in this epic 104 mile steady but demanding ride let me know. Route will be leaving Maindy at 9am returning close to 7pm. As said before MTB's or CX in good working order suggest not full suspension but was done by one last year. for those not wanting to do full route transfer back to Cardiff on Train. Let me know if interested. Kevin |

I'm in - my stolen MTB has been replaced and knee tendon and leg muscle rebuilding is coming on well. Probably bail out at the Welsh Water facility before the gap climb though - have to be sensible :-/
Possibly bringing a few MTB friends too. :D It was an epic last time, I expect the weather, equipment or our bodies (crashes and fatigue) will ensure that this version does not disappoint! |
