Well, I'm wondering... winter is coming, and I wondered if you people who normally let your Goldfish stay outside in a pond or other outdoor setup, bring any of these fish indoors for the winter? Do tell!!

I bring my goldfish in. But the pond is a small pond not much bigger than a large aquarium and it gets real cold here. I am pretty sure they wouldnt survive the winter in the pond.

We are a bit more temperate here in New Mexico so we leave them out. They did well and seemed to even grow. Lowest temp last year was + 9. Just do not feed them! Nora

Welcome, Blumoose.
You are sure right about the feeding. When the water temps drop so does the metoblisim of the fish. At that point feeding the fish will just polute the water.
