Hello everyone,
I want to thank you for checking out this new forum. This was set up with the idea of providing another place for CALS to share their thoughts, ideas and resources. Of course we welcome everyone and I look forward to getting to know each of you. For those of you with children in your lives we have set up a kids forum to provide a place for them to mingle with other kids whose lives have been touched by ALS.   Takes practice to do this...will keep trying though...lol! I am former cals to my hubby Dick who passed away in 2005 after a 5-6 yr battle with ALS. Was glad to find a place to find support & encouragement ...now I stay to be of help to other's...I remember how much I needed the help! Hope others will come here for the help I was able to get...it's so important to have someone to listen when your at your wit's end!! Arlene |

 I am new, my Mom (68) was diagnosed on Tuesday, after about 12 weeks of diagnostics. I want to be able to care for her in the best way.~J |
