Lobos

The Wolf-people were one of the first animen created by the Turhys.

Physical Description:They look like a bipedal wolf. Lobos are covered with fur that ranges in color from white to red to brown to gray to black. Frequently the fur has darker and lighter patterns in it. The lobos range in height from 5½ to 8 feet tall. They do have tails. They have short life spans, achieving adulthood by age 10. Their maximum age is 60 years old.

Relations: Lobos start out being very aloof towards people that they do not know, even there own kind, but they are very loyal once a friendship is established.

Language: The lobos speak the Common tongue as well as Lobospeak. Lobospeak is very difficult for those without manipulative ears to speak.

Male Names: Lobos tend to names with ‘r’s in them. They take a great deal of amusement of taking the names of other races and adding a growl to them: Rrroger, Kurrrt, Trrrevorrr, Borrris. They do also have some cultural names that are passed down, such as Growlf, Canus, Ozorr.

Female Names: Lobos tend to names with ‘r’s in them. They take a great deal of amusement of taking the names of other races and adding a growl to them: Grrretyl, Aprrril, Mirrrranda. They do also have some cultural names that are passed down, such as Urrrda, Talina, Bolna.

Pack Names: Rather than thinking of themselves as a family, lobos think of themselves as a pack. Their pack names usually describe the area that the pack ranges in. A full name of a male lobos could be Rrregi of the Longbeach (for a rural lobos) or Garrry of the Halberd Niurb Tree (for an urban lobos)

Lobos Racial Traits
· +1 Strength, +1 Dex, -2 Charisma.
· Medium-size: As Medium-size creatures, lobos have no special bonuses or penalties due to their size.
· Lobos base speed is 50 feet. Their legs are much more efficient than most of the humanoids.
· +2 racial bonus on Jump and Move Silently.
· Pack Mentality: the lobos receives a bonus +1 per conscious ally (up to +10) for morale rolls.
· +2 racial bonus on Listen, Smell, and Track rolls. Lobos have very good senses.
· Favored class: Ranger. A multiclass lobos’ ranger class does not count when determining whether he suffers an XP penalty for multiclassing.

Nay, not a silly question. I did change the name, what with 'garou' being copywrited by WW, and even though our wolf-people are very different from the werewolves. I decided to use the Spanish instead of the French, and I thought that it works pretty well.

I did also change Bastet to Chatara, using the French this time. (chat=cat)

yeah i like it scott. I also like the French name, although i always think of Los Lobos the recording artists when i see lobos.

'Lobos' will actually be the next entry in the Encyclopaedia Zierathica on the webpage. I have it mostly done, just working on a few pictures now. I'm also working on the elves and humans. I haven't decided which will be next.

I definitly like the french name, especially for the cat people. It seems much easier to say over and over and over again. Also it doesn't conjure up (for me anyways) images of the goddess Bast, so everything is clearer in my mind. All in all a good choice *gives Scott a thumbs up*
