Hi there!

I was just at Bible Study and we were looking at the first in our series on Jude. Verse 3 is of particular interest:

QUOTE

"Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt I had to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints." Jude 3

What are our thoughts on this verse? What is meant by "contend" ? What is "The Faith" ? Why is it "entrusted" ? Does "Once for all" mean there can be no additions to Biblical Faith?

Look up 1 peter 3:15, and 2 Timothy 4:1-7. Those verses also, are about defending the faith, preaching the word. James, also broguht the message that we should live by our faith. Don't just talk the talk, you should walk the talk. Others see our works, and our testimony won't be evident if we are not living the way we are commanded. See, the world is watching us, and waiting for us to make mistakes. They think Christians are supposed to be good people. In James 2, he tells us about living with the working faith. --------------------
