(Posted Image) "Things always seem normal before they change. A new relationship with your best friend. A peacetime born out of war. Or even just sitting around, living life day to day.
Mutants have been known to the world for generations, always just beyond the scope of the media. Just beyond the hateful words. The world has lived in awe of their powers, their differences, their similarities. And yet, the world has mostly been at peace.
"But then, things happen. Events pass us by at the speed of light, and before you know it, you are wishing for the good ol' days."
The world is changing. The 'mutant generation' has come. Mutants are appearing in ever greater numbers, teenagers erupting with strange powers across the world. They are being forced into the limelight.
"Mutants are not much different. One day, you are sitting in school, munching on a sandwich, wondering if that girl at the next table would give you a chance, then the next day, you have spikes growing out of your arms, or things start to float around your bed. Times are a changing, and so are we."
The news is filled with stories of mutants. For mutants, against mutants, the debate rages. Violently. Barely a day goes by without news of riots, of deaths. Both sides have suffered their losses, but non so many as those discovering their powers. Alone and vunerable, they have few people to turn to.
"Some people hate us. Others enjoy our company, like nothing's changed. Still, even others worship the ground we walk on. But the fact is still the same. We have power. We can change things. Regardless of what's going on around us, we are this moment between War and Peace, death and life. This is the moment, and we are now."
What you see before you are the final words of a mutant marked for death. A mutant whose only mistake was to let his guard down as his powers emerged. His name is known world-wide; Benjamin Helivot. Mutant protests are at an all time high, Benjamin's name on everybody's lips.
So, where do you stand? With them or against them?
