Power: Has the ability to speed up/change molecular formation and movement at will. With a touch, he can break things down into pieces or regenerate them back together, regardless if it's a biological or non-living matter. This also allows him to "regenerate" by rearranging his own molecules. Jake's alterations are permanent unless he reverses them.

Appearance: Jake is an average looking guy. He stands roughly 6'1" and he has an average build. His brown hair is typically kept short, rarely left without some sort of style to it and he has baby blue eyes. He tries to keep his face cleanly shaven. Rarely will you ever see him with anything more.

He dresses no differently than any other college guy his age. Typically dressed in jeans, vintage teeshirts, and boots. He rarely dresses up for anything. It's easier for him to just avoid those situations entirely.

Personality: A former thief who thought it was a kick to use his knowledge to short-circuit the occasionally inconvenient alarm system, Jake was recruited into the Molecular Biology program at Alexandria University for his high IQ. Jake's disregard for authority and authority figures often lands him in a bit of trouble.

Underneath the tough, edgy attitude is a man who has a passion for poetry, a soft spot for damsels in distress, and a strong sense of loyalty and duty that occasionally causes him to ignore the rules. Jake is a typical college student. He's friendly, goes with the flow and has fun in life. He is a relaxed guy who is generally liked by all. Jake will go to great lengths to protect those he cares about.

History: Jake Granville's parents divorced when he was just seven years old. His mother despite her better judgement sent Jake to live with his father in London until he graduated school. Now, Jake is a student at Alexandria University and has been for several years. Life has never been quite normal for him since he discovered he had a special gift at fifteen.

At the time, he couldn't figure out why strange things would happen when he touched them. Jars would disappear and reappear with the lid off or sometimes even upside down with pieces missing. It frightened him yet as the time passed he realized just what he was capable of. By eighteen, Jake had a good amount of control over his abilities and began to realize that he could use his abilities to mend his own injuries. It seemed that everything was going well.

During his freshmen year of college (at 18), Jake was attacked by a thug in downtown Alexandria in front of his girlfriend. Jake was stabbed in the chest and went down. Several seconds later, he stood up and everything was fine. Both the thug and his girlfriend were frightened and ran. It was that day that Jake realized that no matter who it was, he was different and people would always be afraid of different. So he kept his ability a secret.

It was during his freshman year of college that he met Leslie Lo. They were in a class together and while he constantly slept through it, she made sure that he passed. From that day, they have been best friends.
