Help! I'm off to my first festival since Reading '78
I certainly don't fancy sitting on the ground for most of the day |

Get one of those small folding stools - they usually cost three to five pounds and are much easier to carry than a chair. Although if it's dry, there's really nothing wrong with sitting on the ground!

Oh yes! Let's see. Lowlights... the feeling on Thursday night/Friday morning that we were in for the fourth mudbath on the trot. Shakin' Stevens. Royworld. Coming home. Highlights... the feeling from Saturday morning that we were in for the first relaxing mud-free fest in years. Elbow. Crowded House. Ben Folds. The National. Edwyn Collins (heartbreaking and uplifting in equal measure). Biffy Clyro (one of the best displays of controlled aggression I've seen in my life). The Futureheads. Elbow (again... I saw them twice). Martha Wainwright. |
