I was just wondering how many of us hunt and (or) fish and what type of fishing/hunting you do?

I enjoy fishing mostly with lures on rivers. My favorite type of fishing is rainbow trout, I also enjoy fishing for German Brown and Brook trout, Bass and catfish.

Fishing and hunting is pretty much all I do besides watching sports. I fish mostly on boat for Walleye, Crappie, Flathead (catfish), Perch, and Brown Trout. I hunt Whitetail Bucks, Pheasant (not the pen raised ones), Turkey, and Mule deer. I really wanna go hunt Elk or Red Stag sometime in my life. I've never had a better steak than Elk it's the best.

Ok I am all in this now. I am with blaze, pretty much all my free time is hunting or fishing. I got my first West Texas Mule deer this year, which is an accomplishment, there aren't a ton of them this far south.

Just this weekend I killed the Crapie, White Bass, and channel cat... I also decapitated a 6ft cotton mouth with a shovel.

I just got redazzhater to join up and start a thread like this, he hunts even more than me. In fact we slaughtered the Duck together this year.

I have an amazing long range shot so i went hunting with my uncle once and bagged him a deer. I didn't understand any of the terms he used for the type of buck i shot but he told me that was probably the cleanest and dirtiest shot he's ever seen from a 1st time hunter.

It disgusted me but whatever, i didn't eat the deer meat or took the head home, that was for him to eat and take home.

Fishing is something i want to try though, i don't feel soo bad about killing a freakin fish.

Morels! They are the best thing life has to offer. IMO. I could eat them for/with breakfast lunch and dinner. I suppose if they were around more though, I might not feel the same way about them....

As i understand it they grow best around here in burned out forest areas. Places that had a fire 2-5 seasons back or in areas that have been cut within the past few years. Morels are huge around here. We have whole groups of people around our woods that camp out all season long. migrating from all over the place to pick and sell our gigantic Morel's.

I like to saute my Morels in Garlic butter, Hmm...Heavenly.
