I have the program for What the Butler Saw. Here's a note about it from the time.
21 March 1969 Saw Coral Browne in What the Butler Saw by Joe Orton at the Queen's Theatre. It opened on 5 March. Ralph Richardson was in it too. He seemed to have Parkinson's. Also in the cast: Julia Foster, Peter Bayliss, and Hayward Morse; direction by Robert Chetwyn. The play opened with a trapdoor opening up in the flies and actors coming down 'below' to stage level. Coral was dressed by Balmain. Garry Gillard |
