Kotone sat quietly under one of the many trees in the park with her harp in lap and her staff beside her. She plucked the strings lightly creating a playful kind of harmony that seemed to reflect the beautiful sunny day that shone around her. Her song could be herd throught the forest as beatiful as the scenery. The day was warm but a gental brease made it a little but more cool as it fluttered Kotone's hair around her.

"Sheesh, Ryoko can be a pain in the ass sometimes." Hakiru said to himself as he walked through the forest. He had a fight earlier with his sister about something so trivial that he stormed out of the house after saying some hurtful words. He had to cool off for a while before he could go back and apologize.

During his strole, Hakiru heard a beautiful tune coming from some type of instrument. He followed the sound and stopped when he found the source of the song. He saw a beautiful young lady sitting under a tree playing a harp. She's really pretty. I just hope that I don't mess this one up. He thought to himself as he watched her play. Around town, most of the girls knew of him and his many failed attepts at getting a girl.

Anyway, Hakiru took a few breaths and slowly aproached her. "That is a nice song there." He said with a smile, trying not to act like an ass like he normally does around the other girls. He hoped to get to know her before he does something to mess it up.

Kotone looked up as she paused her playing, agan someone approched her to talk. She isn't used to any one accnolaging her let along three people in the same week. It was starting to amaze her but she poped out of in and remembered her manners, she stoped playing to stand up and bow to introduce herself.
"Oh, hello. My name is Kotone Shizuri, it's a nice to met you." she said with a smile.

Hakiru blushed a little when Kotone smiled at him. "It's nice to meet you Kotone. Mine is Hakiru." He said with a slight smile runnning across his lips. "I didn't mean to intrude on you, but I must say that your playing is astounding. It is almost like how my..." His voice trailed off as Hakiru thought of his mother who died when he was so young. She would pay his a song to help him feel better when he was sick or extremely sad.

He felt himself about to cry, but he caught himself and began to smile again. "So what brings you out here? I presume that you must like nature a lot."

Kotone thought she saw a shadow of sadness for a moment but it was gone so she though she had imagined it. She picked up her harp as she sat down and began to play again.
"I love nature, the wind the tree's the peaceful music they all play." Kotone said as she played, it seemed to bring out the natural music of the wind wistling and the trees rustling. They seemed to dance and sway to her song.

Hakiru watched as Kotone played her harp. The song began to fill his heart with joy as each second pass. He had to release it in some way. After a while, he couldn't take it anymore that he began to dance happily. This...this feels so great. It's like I am suddenly free from it all. I like this feeling. Hakiru thought as he moved around Kotone.

Kotone smiled and laughed a it at Hakiru's sudden out burst of dancing but was glad her playing made someone happy. She closed her eyes and closed out everything exept the sound of the forest playing along side them as equals, the result was even more amazing and beautiful.
"So tell me, Hakiru was it? May I ask why your out here?" she asked politly eyes still closed.

Hakiru stopped dancing and remembered why he was out. He slowly sat under a tree and looked over at Kotone. "Well, I had a fight with my older sister. I said some mean words to her that I know were very hurtful and I am out here now. I am trying to clear my mind before I can come to terms and apologize to her." Hakiru began to get that sad look on his face. "I am the worst brother ever. She had done everything for me and I said all those hurtful words right in her face."

"I bearly talked to my brothers and sisters." Kotone said as her playing slowed to a more even steady pace that seemed rehersed. She pause for a little bit before continuing.
"I ran away, not to long ago. And now I'm here. I never said anything to them, I'm the horrible one.." Kotone said quietly and her voice trailed off so the last few words could bearly be heard above her song that seemed to take a sad turn.

Hakiru looked up at Kotone with his soft eyes. "I guess that I shouldn't feel sorry for myself, and neither should you. My sister... I know that I can apologize to her and she will forgive me. And even though I have just met you, I can sense that you are a nice person." Hakiru sat up and smiled. "I believe that if anything, your brothers and sisters may have an understanding to why you left. You don't have to see them, just write them a letter telling them how you feel."

Kontone paused her playing and let her hair fall infront of her face as she waited and though about what to say.
"I...I was helping to pay for the family. I left them and they don't know why, I was always quiet so they didn't know me as a person, and the reason I left...." Kotones free hand the one not holding the harp brushed over her staff beside her.
"They are so religious, and magic....they don't really mix."

Hakiru's smile slowly faded away. "I see." He sat down and sighed. "Well there's nothing that can change their minds. You did what you had to do." Hakiru slowly moved closer to Kotone and stopped a few feet away. He didn't know what else to say to help make her feel any better.

"The past right?" Kotone said looking up smileing to hide her feelings to try and forget the pain "Don't look back and you won't stumble" She said as she got up and dusted her self off, but there was no need because her dress seemed to repel the dust and dirt.
"You don't look like much of a fighter, but now a days....." Kotone paused remembering the incident that lead to her learning magic "...now a days you need to keep on you toes. So would you mind a little spar?" Kotone asked politely, almost as if she were asking him to tea.

"Not much of a fighter? I am a decent one." Hakiru slowly stood up and grinned. "Well I am game. A little spar will be a great learning experience. You may never know what could happen."

Hakiru began to stretch a bit to get himself ready. I might as well give it all I got. I must push myself to the limit every time. I will be greater than my father. He though as he finished with his stretching. "If you are ready. Ladies first." Smiling like his usual self, he stood waiting for Kotone's attack.

"Tehe, well if you insist." Kotone said picking up her staff she thrust it into the ground and made a kind of plus with her index and middle fingers of both hands. The dust kicked up a little around her ankles in a circle pattern from the wind swirling around them. Her wrists had this same wind but no dust for you to see it. She picked her staff back up ready to attack.
