As every Harmony hot-shot knows, today's unfounded rumor is tomorrow's urban legend. Here is what's hush-hush and strictly confidential on the Passions gossip circuit right now:
1) Rumors keep popping up on the Internet that former Another World star Victoria Wyndham could be tapped for a major role. However, this rumor has been making the rounds for so long, it seems dubious at best.
2) According to Internet mavens, a major talent search is underway to cast the part of Sam and Grace Bennett's never-seen oldest son, Noah. Several names have been bandied about, but so far a front-runner for the role hasn't emerged.
3) During its five years on the air, Passions hasn't garnered many Daytime Emmy nominations acting wise. But pundits are already predicting a 2005 Supporting Actress nod for Leigh Taylor-Young (Katherine).
4) The wackiest rumor we've heard is that Liza Huber (Gwen) is Phyllis Diller's niece. This fairy tale is fueled by the even more ridiculous, long-running rumor that Phyllis Diller and Susan Lucci are sisters.
I think Leigh deserves an award. Hope this one is true. I wonder who Victoria would play if she does come on the show.
