Philip is disappointed when he arrives at the loft and discovers that Belle is not there for their date. Meanwhile, Belle hears about Lucas' marriage proposal and urges Sami to get dressed and go out with Lucas. She then complains about Shawn being a coward by ending things without facing her. When they stop by Belle's place and find Philip waiting, Rex quickly figures out that he's there for a date. He throws a punch and Mimi's forced to separate the two. Philip claims he was taking Belle out to cheer her up so Rex suggests they double date. Belle returns and agrees to go out with them, while Rex argues with Mimi about Philip's intentions. After Kate comes to after fainting, Lucas asks his mother to back off and reminds her that she promised Roman she would give Sami another chance. At the station house, John and Tek hack into the DiMera computer system and see a sign that the Phoenix has risen. Warning him about getting close to Lexie, John worries that Tek might be the killer's next victim. After Kate stops by for word about Marlena, Tek gets word about a strange signal being received on the emergency radio band. He guesses it's just sunspots. Meanwhile, on New Salem island, Roman keeps an eye on his emergency signaling device. When Marlena wakes from a nightmare, Roman quickly embraces her. Later, Roman catches Cassie out on the balcony and she's reunited with Marlena. Marlena privately worries to Roman that Cassie might be spying for Tony or Stefano. Patrick survives the fall down the cliff and manages to get next to Jennifer. He advises Hope how to use his special coin to break through the force field to get some help. Jennifer warns that the baby is coming so Hope rushes off, unaware that someone is following her.
