Passions' Jared and Theresa get engaged.
Though he's attepmted a few times, Jared has yet to complete his proposal to Theresa. Now Ethan, desperate to show that Jared is bad for his ex, is accusing Casey of killing JT. In order to prove Winthrop wrong, Jared takes a polygraph test. "It was something Jared brought up for Chad to do in hopes of getting him off the hook with Whitney," explains Jared Stevenson. "Then Whitney says,'Why dont you do it, Jared,? Ethan thinks you killed someone, so take it if you have nothing to hide." Jared isnt gung-ho about the idea. Jared knows he didnt kill JT, so he's safe regarding that. His worry is that, while he's hooked up to the lie detector test, he will be asked about other stuff he doesnt want to answer. Jared fails question one, which is, "Have you ever lied to Theresa?" Jared says no, and the test comes up that he's lying. Jared explains that the only thing he told her he's lied about is when he told her he didnt love her at first, but he did. Then Ethan asks if he killed JT. Jared, once again, says no. "It takes a while for the guy running the polygraph test to come to a determination, but Jared is let off scot-free." Now "free", Jared cant wait any longer to propose. There's no time like the present. Yes, he's jumping the gun a bit because she doesnt know him all that well, and he doesnt know her all that well. But he's jumping the gun to push her away from Ethan. He knows Ethan will always be in her life because they share a child. But Jared hopes that he'll become No. 1 in her life. He wants to marry her. Does she feel the same? "In Theresa's eyes, Jared is flawless," Stevenson smirks. Indeed, Theresa says...yes!
January 8 marks that day that Ivy and Julian off-canvas daughter was mentioned. This is a good sign that Fox and Fancy's sister will finally be introduced on-screen.

Comings and Goings: Kristina Sisco (Charity) returns on 1/19 when Charity arrives on Kay's doorstep.

VCR Alert:
1/15-Fancy informs Luis and Sheridan that she trapped her attacker in the closet. Jared is stunned when he discovers the identity of Chad's lover.

1/16-Jessica confronts Spike about being Fancy's rapist.

Wedding bells for Passions' Kay and Fox. Kay ties the know with Fox this week on Passions. "It gets crazy." warns Heidi Mueller. "At the last minute, Miguel rushes in to prove that Fox is faking his illness and lying to Kay. But then Julian shows up with someone to prove that Fox really is sick. Everyone's there and here she is, still trying to decide whether she wants to go through with it or not." So, Kay takes stock of the men before her. "She thinks back and we have those little flashbacks that Passions always does," preview Mueller. "In the end, she realizes that Fox is the person she's been able to trust the most. Or so she thinks." Score one for Fox, but the game isnt over yet. "If you think the wedding is nuts," teases Mueller," the honeymoon is 10 times crazier."
