There are a few, simple rules that ALL members must follow. They are, like I said simple and most of us follow them without even knowing it. But there are several that most of you might have some problems with. But they will make life enjoyable all round for you and your character. You will find reminders throughout the site as well.

WHEN REGISTERING use a full name!! Canon names are names of people who are characters in a book/movie/show/celebrity. (Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron/Ronald Weasley, Brad Pitt, Orlando Bloom). Separately, the names 'Harry', 'Hermione', 'Granger', 'Bloom', etc. are allowed. When you register, use a name like so: Mary Singleton. DO NOT PUT: harryxhermionex154. This is not acceptable and you will be asked for an alternative name or, if you fail to respond, your account will be deleted.

First off, I would like to say that I don't mind swearing. I don't swear a lot myself but due to the fact that there are many young members, the swearing must be kept to a minimum. This means, the 'H' word is permitted, and so is the 'D' word. All others must be kept scarce. If there are any members whose constant swearing bother you, report them to me or a professor immediately.

Secondly, controlling your character is a biggie. There is a separate topic for this but, just to sum it up right here: it means that you simply post your action, not anyone else's. You post what you do but do not include the other member(s) reactions. They decide that for themselves.

Thirdly, physical contact. (This includes duels, fights, squabbles, and public displays of affection). Let's start with dating. I don't care if you "date" another character on this site. However, publicizing it by "making out" is not allowed. An occasional kiss is allowed but if it bothers another member, then it'll have to stop.
Duels are allowed but refer back to controlling your character. There is also a list of spells that are permitted for each year. Any spells you learn in class are permitted but they will be checked! If a teacher catches wind of a duel, the spells you use will be investigated. If you used a spell that is not on the list of spells permitted for your year, you will be punished. Otherwise, duels are relatively allowed.

For each of you, you are allowed a banner or signature for your character. Pictures used in your said banner must be modest! Any nudity or rude hand gestures, symbols, markings, words, and it will be deleted immediately and you will be marked with a warning. Temporary or permanent suspension may be decided if you were previously warned.

I myself have done this but all of us tend to look over the rules or skim through them. To ensure that you have read this, you will be asked to give a password when you're sorted. This password will change periodically: Filch.

Before I forget, Double Posting. I've seen this on other sites and I must tell you now, I personally don't care. If it bothers another member, then you will be asked to stop, and I must say that you should try double posting in moderation. If you are RPing with yourself, by all means, post all you want. Please try to make sure the said posts are "full" and "rich" with something worthy of reading.
