Skitto's Random Imagination Artistry Technique

Okay, this is something that I've developed on my own that's a pretty good way to get constant results even though you may not have had any prior training in drawing.

1. Get all your supplies, get in a comfortable area and stare at your mode of artistry (i.e. paper, computer screen, block of clay etc.)
2. Zone out on your paper/whatever,

Remember that staticy stuff you used to see when you were a kid? You know what, you can still see it, you've just been ignoring it when you started growing up,
so

3. Focus on the static (try focusing out to see it) and let your HAND (as in, not conscious thought) draw the first thing that comes to mind. Note: works best when you're bored.

Try practicing this until you can transfer images in your imagination directly to paper.

I could explain it but then you'd call me a hippie.

Awe screw it, I will anyway. Okay, the way I've figured it is that in your youth your soul is getting acclimated to controlling a material object at will (motor skills, mental capability, basically controlling your body.) and during which process, your eyes catch bits of your own aura which fade away as you grow up because you get old and move on to "better" things.

Basically it's your mental projection of unformed imagination. I could be wrong, it's just a guess really.

I'll be looking forward to seeing what you guys draw.

I always thought it was just a reflection of your retina...

hmm...i tried it and came up with a crazy monkey with giant teeth and a beard...very strange...

yeah, after thinking about it some more it could just be how your eye sees air or something.

lol, i tried this again a while ago, and came up with my friend bob looking very stoned, naked, and ugly flicking us off with his tongue.

its probably one of my favorite pictures, ill have to put it up.

I haven't done this in quite a while, but hearing of such soundingly LSD induced drawings from my students I think I should do it again.

Very unique Bard. Did I ever show you guys my fuzzy green Sesame Street-type creature with 5 tentacles, hats for feet, a mushroom balance (or scale you may call it) for one ear and a cup/flower/whispy mc-doodle with another mushroom as the other ear?
