Title: Tabletop Discussion?

A couple of people have mentioned this, and I'm not entirely sold. Would it get any use?
I'll leave this poll up for a few days and then I'll add the new forum (or not).

Ooh yes, that would be nice...I only just started the hobby about...a month or two ago, but a side tabletop forum would be nice.

Well, thus far everyone seems to have voted 'yes'. Which is obviously a clear sign in favour of the proposition. I guess I was doubtful because I figured it was a "niche" clearly and definitively filled by forums such as Warseer, Dakka Dakka and the B+C.
That said, should the forum only limit itself to 40k? To all Games Workshop games? To all tabletop games, regardless of manufacturer?

I would say at least 40k and Fantasy, maybe specialist games. ALL tabletop games is a bit of a stretch to me, considering that of the people who play tabletop games on this forum, most of them play 40k and/or WFB.

Certainly, but if someone decides to play something like Flames of War and wants somewhere to talk about it, why not? If they want to tell us all about this brand new super awesome cool gaming experience they've found, I think they should be allowed to tell us about them.

Yeah, I know, I was just suggesting 40k and WFB as the bare minimum. All games would be fun, but you may need sub forums i.e.
40k
WFB
Other games
Or something like that.

Why not start with the basics, games-workshop games I.E.
Forum- Gameing are (better name optional)
sub-forums
40k
Fantasy
Specialist
and then, if anyone starts collectiong something else, then we can make a new suf forum... If you can make sub forums that is

I'm not going to create sub-forums - can you honestly see the forum being deluged with posts? Creating a billion forums with one post in each would be terrible.

good point, then seperate threads that may, or may not, be pinned in the one forum, for each type of the basic games?

That's definitely a better idea. I'll close this poll and create the "Tabletop Games Discussion" forum.
