Title: CHAOS : Tactica Imperium.
Description: Imperials stay away, this sucks souls!
Drakkar Windrider - June 25, 2005 01:50 PM (GMT)
Harrigan VI.
Kerrobia. Northen hemisphere capital. The darkness in what was the former great cathedral of Harrigan VI dominated the scene. Not only because it was night, if such a concept existed in the northern hemisphere, but because the polluting smoke of the hundreds of chimneys covered the sky. The only thing that broke through the darkness were the constant fires erupting out of the chimneys every now and then.
Inside the cathedral, in the main aisle, a throne had been erected. On it sat a huge, looming figure. Huge even for a Space Marine. Which he had been up until a few centuries ago, before discovering that Chaos was actually a prety reliable source of power, as opposed to a great void of soul-devouring. The darkness in the Cathedral actually seemed to deepen around the figure, which probably was the reason that those kneeling in front of him were at least seven meters away. Still, whenever a fire erupted near the broken windows of the cathedral, the silhouette of the figure could be discerned in a clearer manner.
The figure rose, a strong wind howling into the cathedral. He spoke with a deep voice that echoed in all corners of the building.
"They have come. After years of preparations, they have come. Unfortunately, they didn't bring the one I want most, but the plan didn't require for her presence."
He walked to the exit, his entourage following him. Chaos Space Marines, traitor guardsmen and officers, and mostrosities best left undescribed.
"It seems like our enemy are Helghast. They are well prepared, strong people. All the better for a bloody sacrifice.
I want all of them dead. You will attack from all directions, and wipe them out before they can fortify the space port. There are two abandoned outposts north of the landing site that you will take. We will establish forward bases there. If you move fast enough, the Imperial lackeys won't remain long in this world."
The figure stopped right in front of the open door, and faced his subordinates.
"I hope I need not remind you what happened to Logka when he lost two platoons against the Jolocs, because I have always believed in the survival of the strongest."
When the officers walked out of the cathedral, they were greeted with the whining of Valkyrie engines firing up. The ground crews finished the refueling procedures, and left the area. The wind made a few of the officers grab their caps for fear of losing them to the powerful currents.
The Black Titan smiled as the men and super men mounted their transports.
"So it begins. We shall see if those Helghast are tough...
Won't we, Colonel Darrka?"
140 Miles north of the southern space port. Abandoned PDF outpost 13-Bravo. As the tanks rolled forwards, with the Sentinels already taking covering positions, dark clouds rolled in. A storm brewed as the first traitors entered the outpost and the tanks parked.
Under the south-west tower, the lieutenants of the traitor contingent gathered, planning their strategy...
OOC: You can issue your first orders from here. You are supposed to to join your platoon once your plan is made. But you'd better hurry, because the game STARTS NOW.
Drakkar Windrider - June 26, 2005 02:21 PM (GMT)
Lord enzou looked around at the other commanders and curled his lip back in a sneer. "You make your own moves for the defense of the base, I have other plans for my platoon." Walking away from the threesome he headed over to his men, gathering them to order with a wave of his hand.
"Come, my children! We have such deeds ahead of us as will gain great favor in the eyes of the Lord of Pleasure! But if we are to be suitably prepared, we cannot waste time here among these cowards, who do only what they have been ordered, hiding behind the spoken word! Forward, my children - double time!"
In among his followers, Lord Enzou marches them towards the crossroads east of the base, moving at double-time.
OOC: Traitors movement.
Brother Catroux - June 26, 2005 08:10 PM (GMT)
Lieutenant Aramies Johnson looked around at the remaining group of traitor commanders with his dark green eyes. His body did not yet show any signs of major mutation or disfigurment, but below his eyes black half-circles were forming, and his all the indentations of his face seemed to be blackening as well, giving him a gaunt, dark, look. His black and grey uniform still showed some markings of the Kathen 189th, but the Imperial eagle that used to be positioned above his rank bars had been torn uncarefully off. His visible dark brown hair was flecked with grey and his officers cap was dirty and growing threadbear.
"Well" he began, breaking the momentary silence, "I guess I'll just be going now, I need to check up on my men, if you need to contact me I will be on my vox." He walked over to the door and opened it. He turned and gave a quick "Death to the False Emperor" before walking off.

Weiter stood up, and gave an agreeable nod of his head to the only other commander left at the table after the disscussion was over.
The Iron Warrior turned, and headed over to his men, passing Enzou as he did.
As he passed Enzou, he said "The Flesh is Weak, Commander, as are the pleasures of the Flesh. Remember that"
Once he reached his men, he outlined the basic plan.He himself climbed ontop of the turret of the Demolisher, and motioned the bassilisks to form up behind and to either side of him.

He reaches out and grabs the controls. The sentinals lasscannon sniffing the air and aiming where ever The Unamed looks. Opening the throttle it moves off at a clip, Gathering his Troop with him. They continue to stomp into the distance, he riases the pace as fast as he can.
Brother Catroux - June 27, 2005 01:53 AM (GMT)
After leaving the base, Lieutenant Johnson walked over to the small group of tank artillery that was his platoon. As he came the soldiers who were all working on thier tanks in some manner quickly came to attention for an uncordinated salute.
"Alright Men" Johnson said "Were going to set up over there" motioning to the front area of the PDF base. "Orthin, Hadevern" He said looking at the two basilisk commanders "Set up some sandbags in front of your tanks, standard pattern. "Jervis, I want you to set up with them, but give your griffon full sandbag cover on the front side, and have your crews fire over the wall." "Now get to it, I want Tanks in place, ground work done, and at least four layers of sandbags by sundown and you can get some sleep in your tents, if not, your gonna work all night, understood?"
The crews jumped into their tanks and soon they started to roll off to the designated spot. After they had all gone Aramies began walking out to the soon-to-be artillery camp.
Drakkar Windrider - June 29, 2005 09:18 PM (GMT)
PARADOXIAL The tanks, which up until now were idle, start up and rumble forwards, the familiar sound of the treads singing a merry song to the Iron Warrior's ears. The ground is left behind, deep brown patches dug into it where the treads sunk themselves. Soon, the tanks reach the outskirts of the forest...
CATROUX The Bassilisks advance, entering the compund. As the first sandbags are placed, the Griffon takes a position behind them. The idea of positioning the artillery in the outpost seems a wise one, for the line of sight stretches from north-east to south. Everything, from the northern forest to the south one can be fired at comfortably.
The Lieutenant gazes at the Traitors moving south-east. They seem to be headed to the south-eastern hill, probably to take defensive positions there. The south-eastern flank is well protected, seeing how the second armored platoon is directed there.
LISTY The Sentinels march onwards, their speed matching their height, the beastly shape of the four-legged Sentinel trotting ahead. The machines slow down when they enter the northern forest, and emerge on the other side.
It is then that the first sign of enemy contact is shown. The Unnamed's machine stops suddenly, and seems to sniff at the air. A growl from its engine motivates its driver to take advantage of his auto-senses. Sure enough, a great number of Imperial Guardsmen are advancing north of the eastern forest. However, they spring to life upon the mechanical beast's appearance, breaking formation and taking cover....
Brother Catroux - June 30, 2005 01:18 AM (GMT)
"Sir" said the vox trooper next to Sargeant Hadevern "I have reported enemy contacts in the North East sector!" "How may and what?" asked Johnson. "No confirmed number, but it seems to be a large group of Infantry, likely one platoon, and they have broken ranks to take cover." "Thank you." said Johnson, "Now relay a message...."
++Lieutenant Johnson to Unamed, do you need any support? I can take out the Loyalist position with Inderect fire if you need me to, Over.++
"And You lot" Johnson Said, motioning to the tank crews, "keep working!"

Knowing better than to let it's master Arange the Artillery support, The Unamed's Sentinal Transmits the location the Imperial Troops. The Squadron then lets fly with a volley of shots. Aimed to supress the enemy, then with The Unamed Leading the way the sentinal fleet back into the woods, and loop around them. Emerging carfully near the north side of the woods, so as not to be seen by the imperial infantry.
Brother Catroux - June 30, 2005 07:20 PM (GMT)
"Jervis" Aramies said to the man standing next to the right of him, "Fire on the Imperials" "Yes sir!" Jervis said. He ran down to gather his firing crew for attack. His orders could barely be heard through the clatter of the preparing crew.
++Johnson to Unamed, prepare for mortar fire.++
"Ready for lauch, Lieutenant" came Jervis's voice. "Good" replyed Johnson. "FIRE!" he yelled. The explosion echoed around the small PDF base, and the small spec of black that was the mortar shell rose high in the air, and then started to descended. "Reload!" yelled Johnson, and the crew franticly jammed another shell into the mortar, while the rest of the men continued to pile sandbags. "FIRE!" Again the spec rose and fell, and again the crew reloaded, and they repeated this for five more shots.
++Johnson to Unamed, status?++
"Crew, reload but hold fire"

Lord Enzou looked around at the sound of gunfire to the north, then smiled at his followers. "Do you hear that, my children? That is the sound of our wrath breaking upon the misguided followers of the corpse-Emperor. Soon they will be crushed, but it is also the signal for us to hurry. Quickly now, onto the hill!
"Take up positions there and there, just inside the treeline but with a clear line of fire out that way. I want a double line with the first squad ten meters ahead of the second and third, and all of you quickly dig foxholes and hide within them - its crucial we're not seen yet. You can improve your positions after you're out of sight, but we don't have much time. Hurry!"
Leading his soldiers to their positions, the power-armored figure digs a position of his own - behind even the two-squad line to guard for infiltration dangers.
Drakkar Windrider - July 6, 2005 08:17 AM (GMT)
PARADOXIAL The coordinates reach the Bassilisks, and soon enough the crew starts loading shells into the breech of their cannons. The following
WHUMP sounds satisfactory. Off in the distance, columns of dirt start rising in the air. Then, the
CLANK and the crews yelling.
"Loaded!"
"Correct trajectory!"
"Trajectory corrected!"
"Fire!"
And again, and again, and again...
Meanwhile, the Traitors have taken position in the hill, and start digging foxholes.
CATROUX "Yes sir!"
The Basilisks keep reinforcing their cover, while the mortar's wide cannon moves. First a bit to the left, then a bit to the right... and another bit upwards.
"Ready!"
"Fire!"
The shockwave travels into the ground, which absorbs a fraction of the impact. The black shell travels off into the heights... and a low whistle reaches the crew's ears as it falls. A column of dirt rises where the Imperial attackers seem to be. Soon enough, more shells fall around, joining the mortar's shot. A barrage of artillery starts, and the air over the forest seems to turn brown slowly...
LISTY No sooner have the Sentinels hearrd the orders of their leader, the pilots aim their weapons. The infantry starts moving southwards, running into the forest. Most get to cover before the weapons have been locked on their positions, but the subsequent barrage adds to the chaos. Bright lances pour into their positions. At this distance, the shots aren't too accurate, but still four men from a squad fall.
Suddenly, all pilots hear a high-pitched whine. Two missiles streak forward from among the trees, headed into the same position. The
Unamed dodges right, and the missiles bypass him, white smoke drifting into his cabin. A second later, and his Sentinel would be burning.
The missiles fix upon a new target. The first one explodes when it hits a tree, sending wood splinters against one of the traitor Sentinels. This distracts its pilot in the right moment. The second missile hits the front armor of the machine. A
PWANK echoes, and the Sentinel is kicked back, almost as if it had tripped. But before it falls all the way, the engine explodes. Fire envelopes the main section, and it finally topples.
Just then, laser fire erupts all around the Sentinels' position.
"Chimerae!"
Three Chimerae are advancing a few hundreds of meters north-east of the position the infantry held. Their multi-lasers are firing. Suddenly, the whistling shells of the artillery start falling. Most of them fall into the infantry's former position, a few of them falling into the forest they have taken as refuge. The Chimerae are un-affected.

Brother Catroux - July 6, 2005 03:30 PM (GMT)
"All units - Fire at will!" The basilisk crews clambered up onto their tanks, and prepared to fire, while the griffon's crew began to shoot again. Soon the air was filled with a haze of smoke, and the artillery continued to pound at the estimated Imperial positions. Watching calmly from the roof af a building, some 10 feet away, was Johnson. He sniffed in the burning air and looked around at the crews. He remembered the many times he had watched his men like this. At the battle of Guthix, the siege of Haruf, the battle of Zanvix hive, and many more, at first as a loyalist and later as a traitor. He smiled evily and continued to watch.

The Unamed Curse's at the tanks of the Pure. With a Growl he orders the Artillery to switch to Cluster rounds to destroy the Chimera's faceing him.
Then he waves his sentinals back into the woods and leads them south-east into the next wood along, to find the enemy infantry, and to close with and kill them.
Drakkar Windrider - July 17, 2005 09:49 PM (GMT)
LISTYFollowing the Unamed's orders, the Sentinels fall back and advance south into the woods. Maneuvering among the trees is somewhat difficult, but the heavy "feet" of the walkers plant themselves firm on the soil.
Finally, the Sentinels turn eastwards and....
See a mass of infantry charging at them from the east, while three Chimerae charge into the woods just north-east of their position. The Unamed inmediately orders to fire, and the multilaser Sentinel joins battle, with the heavy flamer staying on the rear.
The four-legged mechanical beast counts for two soldiers, with well-aimed shots, while the multilaser hits another three men. However, the Helghast infantry keep advancing at a run. It is then that Lieutenant Johnson's artillery fires. Two shells land just behind the rear of the formations sending mud on their backs. However, this only spurs them on in their mad rush.
A second volley is more accurate, and hits the left flank. Men are sent flying, and the screams echo in the air.
A missile narrowly misses the multilaser Sentinel. However, the more than thirty men charging seem to be a greater problem...
Which manifests in a most brutal fashion when two grenades hit the multilaser Sentinel. One blows right into the front armor, although the pilot is still alive. The grenade didn't hit the important systems. However, the second grenade hits the right leg, sending gears in all directions. A steel wheel hits the Unamed's machine, which seems to grunt in annoyance.
The Sentinel falls sideways, but a tree stops its fall. The multilaser is still active, but the machine's right leg is now little more than an ornament.
CATROUXAs the men keep on the barrage, dust clouds rise over the forest's canopy. Those are no doubt the Chimerae the Unadmed informed about. The Bassilisks and the Griffon load and fire, but their accuracy isn't too great against fast-moving targets.
It is then when they spot the infantry charging out of the woods. Beams fired from the trees north-east hit the enemy formation.
"Correct your aim! Enemy infantry 11 o'clock! Get them!"
Johnson's orders are followed instantly. The Bassilisks lower their cannons, and aim in direct trajectory at the infantry. The roaring of the cannons and the smoke hide the apparent effects at first, but the two craters just behind the enemy leave no place to imagination. The trajectory is corrected, and the shells find their mark on the enemy flank, sending mud and men into the air.
The numbers are hard to calculate, but the estimation is that a bit more than thirty men are still alive and advancing upon the Unamed's position!
"Sir!" The Griffon's commander calls and waves. "Sir! If we open fire now, we might hit our allies! Shall we keep firing anyway!?"
More shells are loaded...
PARADOXIALThe artillery fire sounds most satisfactory from here, as the smoke rises from the Bassilisks' position, and columns of dirst do the same from the north.
The tanks back away, the clanking of the treads accompanying the sounds of battle. Upon a closer view, it seems the traitor infantry on the hill are digging foxholes in haste. Most of them are finished, when...
Weiter is blinded by a crimson brightness. The Bassilisk at his right emits a ear-tearing noise. When the crimson lights fade, he turns to see the Bassilisk reduced to a pile of scrap-metal. Burnt scrap-metal.
Weiter's mind calculates quickly all possibilities, and finds his enemy is opening fire from his right. Well-concealed and protected infantry are firing at his armour with lascannons! There isn't much he can do, so the tanks keep falling back, but not without sending an answer. The plasma cannons on the Detonation whine, and fire two spheres of what looks like molten lava to the enemy. Trees are incinerated instantly, but the enemy casualties are impossible to count at this distance, and taking into account the sheer destruction a plasma weapon delivers.
Yet again, three bright beams exit the woods. This time, they hit the Detonation's right, and front side. The first one melts the front armor of the hull, but doesn't cause any real damage. The second one melts the right tracks, at least three tread-sections disappearing altogether. The third one hits the right plasma cannon. The weapon's destruction makes Weiter fear the worst...
But the apocalyptical explosion doesn't take place. Instead, the roar of his other Bassilisk answering takes his attention. Weiter is still alive, but this demonstration of power doesn't ease his worries...
Meanwhile, the traitors remain hidden. Apparently, the enemy hasn't noticed their presence yet.

LISTYThe Sentinels churn forward, crashing through the trees and bushes and charging against the Chimerae. The sudden charge surprises the crews, but their heavy flamers start working on the other Sentinel, which just can't take the heat.
He hears another explosion from beyond. The inmobilised Sentinel has obviously been destroyed.
Seeing a Chimera lingering behind, the Unnamed's Lascannon opens fire. Apparently, no damage has been caused to the Chimera, but its infantry disembarks anyway. Suddenly, before the Unnamed can turn and see how the duel of flames has ended, fire sweeps in and around the beast's cockpit. The controls flash red and start melting, until finally the pressure and temperature in the engines makes the Sentinel explode.
Smouldering, but unharmed, he drops from the Sentinel, which is still on its feet, and races for the nearest Chimera, his rage at his ride's destruction showing in a powerful jump that ends with the Unnamed crashing down on top of one of the Chimerae. He rears, and strikes, drivig his power fist through the turret's front. He hears screams coming from the inside, as he lifts the turret enough to have space to throw one of his meltabombs inside. He pulls the pin with his teeth, while keeping the turret on the air, its only point of connection with the hull being the numerous wires hanging from the inside.
The grenade goes in, and the Helghast go out. When it explodes, again the heat of fire washes over the Unnamed's armor, a testament to its resilience. Slowly, the Chimera's mass decreases slowly, until the Unnamed is standing on top of a pile of ashes. When the fire clears, he sees ten men in front of him, aiming their weapons uneasily at him...
CATROUXThe infantry keeps charging, when a sudden crush calls for the LT's attention. His sight swerves to the left to see the Unnamed's Sentinels charging northwards, straight into the Chimerae. At least once of the vehicles explodes.
The infantry reaches cover, but the artillery has time to fire two more shells before they can cover themselves well enough. At the very least, Jhonson can see one Helghast get dragged out of the line of fire, wounded.
PARADOXIALWeiter drops down from the turret, trying to keep low, although with such a bulky body it is near impossible. Still, he manages to reach the tracks as the first smoke round starts working on the Imperials' sight.
About four sections of tracks are melted. This in itself wouldn't be a problem, but they are fused with the steel of the hull, which means that it will need pretty dedicated maintenance, not to mention some materials. Fortunately, Weiter's Servo-Arm can work on it.
The process would need, first, to take off the melted tracks, cutting or burning through them. Then, installing the needed replacement sections. The Demolisher has replacement sections on its back, but burning and cutting through the melted ones will take a while. About 20 minutes. Can Weiter afford this much time while in the open?

The crews turrned back to their tanks and began firing again, this time with more energy and skill then usuall. Man, still clutching his leg, was kicked off the griffon by Sargeant Jervis, and lay screaming in the dirt, blood staining the ground. Johnson lifted his pistol agin and lazily shot the man again. The screaming stopped.

LISTYThe Unnamed, enraged at losing his platoon, charges at the guardsmen. They open fire at the last second, but their autoguns can't get past his resilient power armor, no matter how old. The only weapon that could harm him misses, when the squad's meltagun fires. However, the hissing and whining of the air leads to nothing. Because the compressed fuel doesn't hit anything, it dissipates harmlessly into the air...
Although this doesn't dissipate the Unnamed's thirst for blood. He swats two Helghast away, with his powerfist. Lightly, though. But his prize s behind them. The meltagun soldier. The Unnamed grabs the gun, and breaks it in too, while he uses his prey as a shield. The Helghast are startled by this maneuver.
"Know this, servants of the Corpse God. Harrigan VI will not fall to you! Chaos shall claim this planet, your blood will be a good sacrifice for our Gods!"
With this, the Unnamed's Jetpack starts up, sending smoke and fire under, and around himself. The Helghast man screams as his feet are burned beyond recognisition. Then he drops a few grenades. The Helghast drop prone and take cover, while the Jetpack pulls the Marine's fram with tremendous force. Before the rest of the squad can act, he flies off roaring into the sky.
As he departs, the Unnamed can't help but wonder what torture the Black Titan has reserved for him...
CATROUXThe man's screams stop. The crews turn to look, but on noticing the glare coming from Johnson, they feverishly set to work. When, suddenly, they stop again...
It is then that Johnson hears a distinct noise. Steel clanking, boots hittin the ground,
fast. Jonhson looks south-west and sees, to his horror, a platoon of Heavy Infantry advancing onto the outpost. The orange googles of the Helghast bob up and down as they run, and he can't help but feel that they are looking directly at him, a prey they are ready to hunt. The crews of the tanks await in confusion for the Lieutenant's orders.
But he is busy enough himself. What would be the best course of action for this situation? Stay and fight, facing two enemies coming from different directions, or retreat?
Then, yet more noises come from the east. Johnson doesn't need to turn to know what that noise means. The Imperial Infantry are coming too. A cold chill runs up his spine, knowing he is in a very dangerous situation with slim possibilities of getting out of this alive, if at all!
PARADOXIALWeiter sets to the task hastily, while the gunner of the Detonation takes the hatch spot to watch the front. Cutting through the tracks itself isn't a hard task, but doing it while in combat is unsettling to say the least. Thankfully, with the experience of centuries on this shoulders, Weiter cuts most of the sections. Now, only one more section, and install the replacements, and...
"SIR! Imperials! They are flanking us! They are heading for the marshes!"
Weiter turns to see a mass of guardsmen running for the swampy terrain east of his position. The Demolisher can't fire its cannon at them, and the Plasma Cannon is absolutely impossible to repair. That leaves only one Bassilisk and one Plasma Cannon to deal with more than forty guardsmen...
Weiter inmediately turns to see the Traitors taking positions, aiming at the Imperials. The sudden movement of the enemy having surprised them, but not startling them, they prepare for the fight.
*THUMP*The Bassilisk fires, but the shot goes awry and lands in the marshes, rising a column of mud and water. It wasn't a lucky shot.
"Sir! If we stay here, we will get shot for good!"

++Johnson to Enzou, I need you men! I have three Imperial Units moving towards my position, please hurry. Johnson out++
Johnson began to bark our orders quickly. The two Basalisks lowered their barrels and prepared to blast the Hellghast and Infantry, respetily, and the Griffon also begins to attack the stormtroopers.
Knowing they were doomed, Johnsons only hope was Enzou, who might be able to get to him before they were killed. He sighed, took out his chainsword, and began to take potshots at the advancing infantry with his laspistol.
Drakkar Windrider - August 7, 2005 08:08 AM (GMT)
++Johnson, you're faster than they - get the blazes over here and make them walk, being surrounded doesn't help you at all. Will provide covering fire as needed, but there's no way I could get my children over there.++
++Weiter, Enzou. Preparing to engage - can you provide covering fire for Johnson? Enemy are converging on his position.++
Lord Enzou hunkered low on his hill, watching as the fleeing Guardsmen suddenly picked up speed. "They have us! Squads Two and Three, open fire! Focus on any clusters of them, starting from the farthest away - see if we can turn them from the swamp! First Squad, get low and concealed and ready for their return. Another five yards I think."
The Chaos Marine smiled savagely as the guns opened up around him - and he started to take carefully aimed shots of his own.
Brother Catroux - August 7, 2005 03:48 PM (GMT)
++Affirmitive, I will move out++
"Boys, get the hell out of here!" he says, "NOW!" "Over to Enzou and his men!" "Hurry!" The crews pack up quickley and hop on their tanks.
Johnson takes a spare fuel canister off of the Basilisk he is on and throws it into the base. I bounces into a wall with a dull THUD! and stays there, rolling slightly back and forth.
As the engines begin to rev, Johson takes out a grenade. The Basilisk begins to start towards Enzou, and Johnson throws his grenade at the empty fuel tank. A huge explosion rattles the small PDF base, and the burning fuel begins to spread, buring what was left of the artillery defenses.
Johnson speeds away to Enzou.

Weiter growled to himself. Those stupid idiots! do they really think that I can bail them out now? I have my hands full trying to take out those Lascannon crews.
++Thats impossible right now Enzou. I have my hands full with other things right now. Let him cover his own retreat++
"Keep Firing!! take out those lascannons"
Drakkar Windrider - August 14, 2005 03:07 PM (GMT)
CATROUXThe explosion scatters burning sandbags, as the tanks race out of the compound. The Helghast are very near to the fence when the tanks advance. Jonhson, standing on the rear of the first tank in the formation, sees the Helghast hell-bent on reaching the gate. However, they stop just enough time to let loose a volley of accurate fire at his platoon.
The Bassilisk on the rear gets hit by massed autogun fire, and the cries of the men for the driver to accelerate are drowned in it. Suddenly, the
*thooop* of grenade launchers makes them go silent. First, a loud pinging sounds. Then, small explosions and shraphnel dancing in the small space behind the gun. Then...
WHOOOMThe Bassilisk's gun-shield flies in the air directly towards Jonhson. Out of sheer weight (and luck) it falls short, a flaming piece of wreckage that is crushed by the Griffon in a desperate race for safety. The Bassilisk is effectively lost, as fire and smoke obscure the view of the compound, now in power of the Imperials...
Lord Isaiah is going to skin us alive... PARADOXIALWeiter grunts as he reaches up for the treads, handed to him by the turret gunner. HE works feverishly, trying to repair the Detonation. As the last tread is placed, a mix of weapon fire leaves the Traitor positions to land on the marshes, preceded by a Bassilisk shell. Weiter smiles as he climbs up the tank and thinks of how vulnerable the Imperials will be now they can't use their heavy weapons with as much effectiveness...
And then he sees Jonhson's tanks advancing towards him, leaving a flaming wreckage behind. A flaming wreckage that resembles a Bassilisk. As he climbs down into the tank and the engine starts up again, Weiter is split between laughing at Jonhson's cowardice, or cursing his name for leaving the compound.
Chaos is clearly in a difficult situation. Should they retreat south, leaving the compound for the Imperials, and hope they don't find more Helghast troops, or should they stay and fight to the death? Weiter ponders carefully upon this, as he sees the Imperials reach the gates...

Weiter scowled as he dropped into his seat.
"Drive! get to Enzou's position, we'll stand there. And see if you can give the Imperials a Housewarming gift."
++Weiter to Jonhson. Head for Enzou, we'll make our stand there. And If we make it out of this victorious, I'll skin you for leaving the compound to our enemy.++
++Weiter to Enzou, I'm coming to your position. We intend to make our stand at the hill that you occupy. Feel free to join in.++
Brother Catroux - August 20, 2005 09:41 PM (GMT)
++Affirmitive, Weiter, I will be there++ Johnson yells through the din into his vox. He is riding on the second Basilisk, the first being abandoned. "Move to Enzou's position!" He yelled, and the drivers of the griffon and basilisk altered their course to move to Enzou.
Seraphus - August 21, 2005 04:48 AM (GMT)
Lord Enzou smiled faintly from atop his hill as he saw the two groups of armored vehicles racing towards him, then looked down at his followers. "My children, keep to the plan. Squad two, divert fire to anyone pursuing Johnson if they come into range." He keeps his aim on the enemy in the swamp, placing careful shots into them as he can.
