OK, how about this-
When is the RP thread shpwing up again?

I too would like to know when the RP thread is coming back up. And drakkar, i know my character was a late addition, but i was wondering if you'd add him to the roster. Or should i post him in here again?

I´m sorry I couldn´t update sooner guys, but this week has been exam after exam after exam. Tomorrow I´ll see if I can update, since tomorrow morning my exams end.

A map (a larger one than last time) would be good so that we can see who's exactly where and who can aim. A few minutes in paint will be worth it when things make sense ;)

And, I'm just questioning what happened in the RP. Unda was carrying the sergeant while shooting and walking backwards. The corridor is only 3 times as wide as the Ogyrn. How did he manage to only hit one of them if they are all running the same way plus his gun fires shrapnel like bullets very quickly. I also suspect an Ogryn could be stronger than one of the smaller versions of the 'dogs'. Also an Ogryn is covered in a very thick skin.

That was a minor case of GodModing. Anyway, notice that when I described what happened, I said "Unda tries to grab the sergeant". THERE is the key part. Unda tried to grab the sergeant, while shooting at the dogs. Because of this, he didn´t aim properly, and the dog that landed on him didn´t let Unda grab the sarge.

As ofr how the dog went past his fire, remember the dogs were on the air. I said the dogs "jumped", but I didn´t say they had landed.

Also, I question the fact that a Ripper Gun shoots very fast. Not because I think it isn´t possible, but because it wasn´t stated anywhere ever. As far as I know, that is. Besides, what shraphnel? I didn´t know those thing shot shraphnel. What are they, huge shotguns?

Sorry for not clearing that up. Also, notice that Gorbachev has pretty much disappeared, so it´s only natural his character would disappear. One way or the other....

Unda was also firing before he picked him up. But ah well... :angry: <_<

2nd Ed says rougthly, that Ripper guns are huge auto-shotguns. built VERY solidly because ogryns tend to use them as clubs.
It also has a 3 round burst inhibitor otherwise ogryns would empty the magazine in one go.

The reason why Toburk is confused about the fact that he's missing is that it produces such a hail of shot that in 2nd ed rules it automaticly hit at under 6", and with two sustained fire dice it hurts, lots.

In the 3rd Ed rules, they made it useles, thats why no one used it.

Before you guys try and do something mad like, oh, I dunno, bungie down into the sewers and snatch the sarge away of the dogs, I´d like to point out that the dry platforms that run along the sewers are about half a meter over the floor.

If you need the railing to do something cool, I guess I can concede you that.

I'm just wanna dangle Unda on a rope to draw the dogs away into the water. Hopefully they will fall down one of the holes, or get sucked in. But then again even if they leave the sergeant we cant go anywhere because the doors shut, barracaded and about to be set on fire.... so all in all, we are screwed. <_<

I think me and stumpy should grab the sergeant and hide somewhere. Then see if that door can stand up to the big dog. :D

Now, you only need to be careful when describing the action. I´ll just hint that there is one way to make the trap better. Besides, take into account the water only reaches your ankles, so the holes don´t really "suck". But there is one way to make a trap even better than the one you said.

Pour that gas-like stuff on the water(there has to be a liter or two left) and set it on fire?

Having them charge over the holes is good, but not as good as I´m thinking. Thing is, it´s a bit dangerous. But it´s cooooooolll.

And what gas? I think you mean the oil, which is in the room, which is locked with these poor bastards outside.

Shoot it with what? We have a rifle, a rippergun and the sergeant who is being dragged has a grenade launcher and las pistol. And the big dog is the size of a trojan support vehicle... thats slightly bigger than a chimera. :huh:

If Stumpy pulled off that stunt, he wouldn´t have time to shoot the big thing, since he has a sniper rifle. Also, he´s a midget, and midgets have a hard time running.

Sergei´s action has already been stated, so that won´t be changed.

The Trojan isn´t bigger than a Chimera. It has the same size, only not a turret. Although it does have a crane, so it would be more or less the same size.

What stunt? I've made hundreds of shots like that when hunting Bunnies.

I did. I don't have a problem with swearing on the board, but when you use "fucking" twice in two sentences I have a problem. You shouldn't need to swear in OOC conversations like this. I have no problem with swearing in the roleplay, when it's not needed (in other words, as long as it's not gratuitious, or just swearing for the sake of immaturity) but it shouldn't be needed in an OOC environment, when we're talking as friends.

If so far you've seen no mention of swearing not being allowed on the board, I'm quite prepared to alter the forum rules. Plus just be considerate, and remember that we're a board aiming to people of all ages.

Well I was thinking the trojan is slightly bigger due to the crane. But anyway, lets hope stumpy can shoot damn fast and pop these beasties.

As you can see in this high-tech drawing (from the future!), Stumpy is hanging from a rope. And Unda is holding the rope. If he let it go, Stumpy would fall, and die, or be prey to the dogs (which could be comically snarling at him from below.I think I´ll include that in my next update).

Is it just me or does the Sergeant seem to be remarkably unconcerned about losing his hand? Not that I want to try, but I imagine if I had my hand cut off it'd hurt. A lot.
