Title: BloodyT's poetry

BloodyT - August 19, 2005 09:32 PM (GMT)
Lord I must be dreaming
What else could this be
Everybody's screaming
Running' for the sea

Holy lands are sinking
Birds take to the sky
The prophets are all stinking drunk
I know the reason why

Eyes are full of desire
Mind is so ill at ease
Everything is on fire
Shit piled up to the knees
Out of rhyme or reason
Everyone's to blame
Children of the season
Don't be lame
Sorry, you're so sorry
Don't be sorry
Man has known it
Now he's blown it
Up-side down and hell's the only way
We did an awful job
And now they say it's Nobody's Fault

Old st. Andres
Seven years ago
Shove it up their richters
Red light stop and go
Noble men of courage
Listen with their ears
Spoke but how discouraging
When no one really hears
One of these day's you'll be sorry
Too many houses on stilt
Three milion years or just a story
Four on the floor up to the hilt

Man has known it
Now he's blown it
Up-side down and hell's the only way
We did an awful job
And now we're just a little too late
Eyes are full of desire
Mind is so ill at ease
Everything is on fire
Shit piled up in debris

California showtime
Five o'clock's the news
Everybody's concubine
Was prone to take a snooze

Wow, a really good one!

(Hmmmm... aren't those last verses referring to some famous personality....? Not that I could know, since I'm Spanish and I hate the tabloids...)

BloodyT - August 20, 2005 08:40 PM (GMT)

Thank you Drakkar... the last verse is indeed in reference to a well known personality.

fear of reprisal is not the answer.

-
The street is cold, the dawn is grey
My heart says no but my head says stay
My work is finished, or so I've been told
Can't part the three of us, once we got a hold

I forgot the name
I took a shot on the chin
I'm rearranging my game
Tell by the shape I'm in

In the line of fire, you know what to say
They gave us no choises, just one shade of grey
My legs keep moving, I don't seem to stray
But I know each step we take, they're one step away
I found the secret, the key to the vault
We walked in darkness, kept hittin' the walls
I took the time, to feel for the door
I found the secret, the key to it all

I got the Nouveauree
And dragged it home to bed
I traded you for me
I took it all and said

I find my own fun, sometimes for free
I got to pay it to come looking for me
Walking on Gucci, wearin' Yves Saint Laurent
Barley stay on, 'cause I'm so damn gaunt

Eddy the Friendly Rasta - August 24, 2005 12:16 PM (GMT)
For the sake of ease and neatness, d'you reckon you could confine your work to one thread, if not the poetry thread that's already in place?

BloodyT - August 26, 2005 04:26 AM (GMT)

two threads versus one.. whoopy frig'n doo! Make some a mod and watch them turn into a petty tyrant.

Bite me!

Deus Ex Machina - August 26, 2005 05:40 AM (GMT)
Give someone their own thread and watch them turn into a petty forum troll.

Drakkar Windrider - August 26, 2005 03:08 PM (GMT)
Bloody T, your lack of manners and respect towards our mods is a fairly safe way of getting banned.

When you first came here, I thought "oh, crap, not MA". But since I wasn't full aware of why you got expelled from the B&C, I decided that you might have been unfairly judged, or something like that. I thought that maybe you weren't so bad.

But then, you didn't get into our RPs, instead staying in Off-topic. But hey, that wasn't a problem either. Although how you seemed obsessed with Kurgan and moderators in general didn't sit very well in my mind.

You got your own thread to do as you pleased in it. It is true we didn't pay attention that much, but hey, nobody can force us to post when and where we don't want.

Then, with your subsequent posts, I thought that you were trying to attract attention, or something like that. You started writing poetry, and at least that seemed cool. Look above.

But THEN, you come up with this. You were given a SECOND thread to put your poetry in, so the off-topic section wouldn't get clogged. And this is how you answer. Insulting someone who has been here longer than me, or you. Eddy. And not only him, but all the mods as well by suggesting they are cowards handled by Kurgan.

And even though I am a mod now, I don't take personal offence at this. But you have come "strutting" in here and started insulting people all of us respect, because we are both roleplaying partners and friends, and they have earned their place in the "hierarchy" (to call it some way) in DI.

I request you change your attitude, and excuse yourself for such a behaviour. Not as a mod, as a roleplayer, or as a forum goer. I request this as a person who knows that you are much more mature than what you have shown.

We have accepted you in our midst, but be assured that the bad apple gets thrown out of the barrel eventually. Don't be that bad apple.

Eddy the Friendly Rasta - August 31, 2005 07:13 PM (GMT)
Oh ignore him, it's indulging his petty behaviour that gets him off. He's the kind of squalid little runt that yells "police brutality" the moment anyone tries to limit him in any way, regardless of common sense.

Let him get on with it, sooner or later he'll not only shoot himself in the foot, but probably hobble over a landmine or some such.

BloodyT - September 1, 2005 02:57 AM (GMT)
If a person cannot be themself then what is the point... to fit in? Heh!

Deus Ex Machina - September 1, 2005 05:24 AM (GMT)
Trolls aren't born trolls.

Drakkar Windrider - September 1, 2005 09:07 AM (GMT)
A guy being himself is not an excuse for being a dick.

Also, if you see no point in fitting in, then maybe you should leave this forum. I don't think anyone in this forum is interested in hearing your constant whining and rambling about how horrible the people in this and other forums are for shutting you up.

This may be owed to the fact that they know better than listening to you.

Brother-Librarian Akritedes - September 1, 2005 03:02 PM (GMT)
Alright, alright. Settle down and quit flaming/insulting/being rude.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and has the right of free speech. However, by registering and posting on a board, you are agreeing to abide by any rules that the board chooses to set, including those that limit your right of free speech. If you don't like the rules, or wish to change them, that's one thing, and you can ask the Admin's to do that politely.

Otherwise, I'm going to have to ask you all to stop slandering each other and leave well enough alone. BloodyT, I am not going to lock this thread, because you seem interested in contributing poetry. But please don't use the thread as a platform for spreading your personal distaste for moderati in general.

BloodyT - September 1, 2005 03:58 PM (GMT)
Okay I will by abide by the rules of the board. Thanks for the ability to share my poetry here.

-Adam's Apple-

back when Cain was able
way before the stable
lighting struck right down from the sky
a mother ship with fate said let's give it a try
conscience was related
man he was created
lady luck took him by surprise
a sweet and bitter fruit
it surely opened his eyes
well she ate it
lordy it was love at first bite
well she ate it
never knowin wrong from right

even Eve in Eden
voices tried deceiving
with lies that showed the lady the way
at first she stopped turned and tried to walk away
man he was believer
lady was deceiver
so the story goes but you see
that snake was he
she just climbed right up his tree
evil came like rainin'
who knows who's to blamin'
something tried to lay her to waste
and all she want and need was just a little taste..

++LIBERATOR++

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find me, unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scrolls,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

- 2 ravens (from Ultima Thule) -

King god of northern clime
Greatest creature so divine
Sends for watching land below
Ravens fly for him to know

Took off from a greater tree
Higher, higher flying free
Sounds of thunder in the sky
Up above two ravens fly

In our time, ravens two
Passing over me and you
Whisper to their only master
What to come before and after

Shadow casted snowy ground
Shape of ravens might be found
At his head ravens rest
Stranger silent as his guest

Words for ear of ancient god
Carried home by wings so proud
Stare at the sky as evening come
Sky is dark and ravens gone.

- Xanadu -

To seek the sacred river Alph
To walk the caves of ice
To break my fast on honeydew
And drink the milk of Paradise...

I had heard the whispered tales of immortality
The deepest mystery
From an ancient book I took a clue
I scaled the frozen mountain tops of eastern lands unknown
Time and Man alone
Searching for the lost Xanadu
Xanadu...

To stand within the Pleasure Dome
Decreed by Kubla Khan
To taste anew the fruits of life
The last immortal man
To find the sacred river Alph
To walk the caves of ice
Oh, I will dine on honeydew
And drink the milk of Paradise

...

A thousand years have come and gone but time has passed me by
Stars stopped in the sky
Frozen in an everlasting view
Waiting for the world to end, weary of the night
Praying for the light
Prison of the lost Xanadu
Xanadu...

Held within the Pleasure Dome
Decreed by Kubla Khan
To taste my bitter triumph
As a mad immortal man
Nevermore shall I return
Escape these caves of ice
For I have dined on honeydew
And drunk the milk of Paradise

++Benny++

Benny was the bouncer at the palais de dance
He’d slash your granny’s face up given half a chance.
He’d sell you back the pieces, all for less than half a quid
He thought he was the meanest-
Until he met with savage sid.

Now sidney was a greaser with some nasty roots
He poured a pint of guinness over benny’s boots
Benny looked at sidney:
Sidney stared right back in his eye.
Sidney chose a switchblade
And benny got a cold meat pie.
Oh! what a terrible sight,
Much to the people’s delight.
One hell of a fight.

Sidney grabbed a hatchet, buried it .... in benny’s head.
The people gasped as he bled:
The end of a ted?

Well, they dragged him from the wreckage of the palais in bits.
They tried to stick together all the bits that would fit.
But some of him was missing
And part of him arrived too late,
So now he works for jesus
As the bouncer at st. peter’s gate.

++ SHOCK ME ++

Your lightnin's all I need
My satisfaction grows
You make me feel at ease
You even make me glow
Don't cut the power on me
I'm feelin' low, so get me high

Shock me, make me feel better
Shock me, put on your black leather
Shock me, we can come together

And baby, if you do what you've been told
My insulation's gone, girl you make me overload

Don't pull the plug on me, no, no
Keep it in and keep me high

Shock me, make me feel better
Shock me, put on your black leather
Shock me, we can come together
Come on

Shock me, baby, shock me, oh yeah
Shock me, baby, shock me, oh yeah

Shock me, make me feel better, oh yeah
Come on and shock me, put on your black leather
Baby, I'm down to the bare wire
Shock me, we can come together
Oh yeah, I wanna feel your power
Shock me, make me feel better
Baby, I'm down to the bare wire
Shock me, put on your black leather
Baby, come on, come on, shock me

This is my last poem here for awhile so enjoy it if you feel so inclined.

++ DIVIDE AND CONQUER ++

They divided up all the land
And we've got states and cities
Cities have their neighborhoods
And more subdivisions

There's countries divided by walls
Oceans and latitudes
And longitude, longing to find out
Just what they're missing

They're lots of area codes
And nine digit zip codes
Secret decoder ring codes
Arteries, shopping nodes

We'll invent some new computers
Link up the global village
And get ap, upi, and reuters
To tell everybody the news

We'll be one happy neighborhood
Spread out across the world
But who's going to stop that burglar
From breaking in my house
If he lives that far away

We'll be just like old friends
No means to your ends
The police state is to busy
And the neighborhood's getting out of hand

It's not about my politics
Something happened way too quick
A bunch of men who played it sick
They divide, conquer

It's all here before your eyes
Safety is a big disguise
That hides among the other lies
They divide, conquer

Well i expect i won't be heard
Because my silence is assured
Never a discouraging word
They divide and conquer

They divide and conquer

DANCING DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN
---------------------------------------

Dancing days are here again as the summer evenings grow
I got my flower, I got my power, I got a woman who knows.

I said it's alright. You know it's alright - I guess it's all in my heart

You'll be my only, my one and only. Is that the way it should start?

Crazy ways are evident, In the way that you're wearing your clothes
Sippin'' booze is precedent as the evening starts to glow.

I told your mamma I'd get you home but I didn't tell her I had no car
I saw a lion he was standing alone with a tadpole in a jar.

Dancing days are here again as the summer evening grows
You are my flower, you are my power
You are my woman who knows.

Satan's Daughter

Let me take you to the movies
Can I take you to the show
Let me be yours ever truly
Can I make your garden grow

From the houses of the holy
We can watch the white doves go
From the door comes Satan's daughter
And it only goes to show
Ah, you know

There's an angel on my shoulder
In my hand a sword of gold
Let me wander in your garden
And the seeds of love I'll sow
You know

So the world is spinning faster
Are you dizzy when you're stoned
Let the music be your master
Will you heed the master's call
Oh, Satan an' man

Said there ain't no use in cryin'
'Cause it will only, only drive you mad
Does it hurt to hear them lyin'
Was this the only world you had
Oh

So let me take you, take you to the movie
Can I take you, baby, to the show
Why don't you let me be yours ever truly
Can I make your garden grow
You know, that's right

++ LICK AND A PROMISE ++

Johnny come late on a Saturday night
Singin' how de go
Backstage boogie in the house of delight
Where they steal the show
money comes sour but the ladies are sweet
it's a love affair
Whole place rockin', people stompin' their feet
When the gang's all there

He gets his woman every night for free
He's out there rockin' like you wouldn't believe
Singin' na, na, na...

Johnny like to gamble with his lady Louise
She was a black jack deuces are wild
He got to thinking 'bout his nose in the breeze
And there Johnny looked and he smiled
He started thinking 'bout the fortune and fame
with the young girls down at his knees
He dug the money but forgot all the names
So he knew just how to appease

He gave the ladies a Lick And A Promise

Loose change clover in his early, early years
Had his poor mama pacin' the floors
He grabbed a guitar and a couple of beers
Now the crowd keeps screamin' for more

He gets his woman every night for free
He's out there rockin' like you wouldn't believe
Singin' na, na, na...

++ NOTHING WRONG ++

Feeling good, feeling wrong
Holding out, holding on
There's a lot to do, lot to say
Just so you can have today

Party here, party here
No one ever really cares
If you're holding out, feeling strong
Tell yourself there's nothing wrong
There's nothing wrong, there's nothing wrong

It's a wicked place, full of lies
Go along - no surprise
Never much to do with me
Someone else-someone see

Feeling fine, feeling OK
Nothing standing in my way
If you're holding out, feeling strong
Tell yourself there's nothing wrong you see
Nothing wrong, there's nothing wrong you see

The world around is dragging down on me
If you're feeling sad, full of shame
You better find someone to blame!

Feeling good, feeling strong
Maybe i'll just carry on
Maybe i've got stubborn ways
Have to do for today
I'm holding out, feeling strong
Tell myself there's nothing wrong

++ KILLING PEOPLE ++

I found no people for killing time
So I found time for killing people
I found no rhythm I would rhyme
So I'm the rhythm for the people

And if you wait on me...
I'll be free one day

Contemplating genocide
Upstairs waving, scared of people
Afraid that feeling hasn't died
It gets lonely for my people

And if you wait on me...
I'll be free one day

So many fingers pointing at me

LETTING GO
========

Theres every good reason for letting you go
Shes sneaky and smoked out
And its starting to show
I never let you go
I never let you go
I never let you go
I never let you turn around our back on each other
Thats a good idea break a promise to your mother
Turn around your back on each other
You say that Ive changed
Well maybe I did
But even if I changed
Whats wrong with it
I never let you go
I never let you go
I never let you go
I never let you turn around our back on each other
Thats a good idea break a promise to your mother
Turn around your back on each other
And our friends are gone and gone
And all the time moves on and on
And all I know is its wrong its wrong
And all I know its wrong its wrong its wrong its wrong
If theres a reason its lost on me
Maybe well be friends I guess well see
I never let you go
I never let you go
I never let you go
I never let you go
I never let you turn around our back on each other
Thats a good idea break a promise to your mother
Turn around lets turn on each other
Good idea break a promise to your mother
Turn around your back on each other
Thats a good idea break a promise to your mother
Turn around your back on each other
What a good idea
I remember the stupid things the mood rings the bracelets and the beads
Nickels and dimes yours and mine did you cash in all your dreams
You dont dream for me no goodbye goodbye you dont dream for me no
But I still feel you pulse like sonar from the days in the waves
That girl is like a sunburn
I would like to say
The girl is like a sunburn
I would like to say
Shes like a sunburn
Shes like a sunburn

This is a play off of Samuel Taylor Colderidge, whihc I will assume was your intention, but it comes uncomfortably close to plagiarism in some places. I'll put the full text of that poem here, for comparison.

Samuel Taylor Coleridge

KUBLA KHAN
Or, A Vision In A Dream
A Fragment

In Xanadu did Kubla Khan
A stately pleasure-dome decree :
Where Alph, the sacred river, ran
Through caverns measureless to man
Down to a sunless sea.
So twice five miles of fertile ground
With walls and towers were girdled round :
And there were gardens bright with sinuous rills,
Where blossomed many an incense-bearing tree ;
And here were forests ancient as the hills,
Enfolding sunny spots of greenery.

But oh ! that deep romantic chasm which slanted
Down the green hill athwart a cedarn cover !
A savage place ! as holy and enchanted
As e'er beneath a waning moon was haunted
By woman wailing for her demon-lover !
And from this chasm, with ceaseless turmoil seething,
As if this earth in fast thick pants were breathing,
A mighty fountain momently was forced :
Amid whose swift half-intermitted burst
Huge fragments vaulted like rebounding hail,
Or chaffy grain beneath the thresher's flail :
And 'mid these dancing rocks at once and ever
It flung up momently the sacred river.
Five miles meandering with a mazy motion
Through wood and dale the sacred river ran,
Then reached the caverns measureless to man,
And sank in tumult to a lifeless ocean :
And 'mid this tumult Kubla heard from far
Ancestral voices prophesying war !

The shadow of the dome of pleasure
Floated midway on the waves ;
Where was heard the mingled measure
From the fountain and the caves.
It was a miracle of rare device,
A sunny pleasure-dome with caves of ice !
A damsel with a dulcimer
In a vision once I saw :
It was an Abyssinian maid,
And on her dulcimer she played,
Singing of Mount Abora.
Could I revive within me
Her symphony and song,
To such a deep delight 'twould win me,
That with music loud and long,
I would build that dome in air,
That sunny dome! those caves of ice!
And all who heard should see them there,
And all should cry, Beware! Beware!
His flashing eyes, his floating hair!
Weave a circle round him thrice,
And close your eyes with holy dread,
For he on honey-dew hath fed,
And drunk the milk of Paradise.

And you know I won't go

The corporation's boiling over
Everybody's taking over

And I'm back in flesh
Back in flesh
Back in flesh
Back in flesh
Back in flesh
You better sign your time card now
They don't care about you anyhow
Sign in, your minimum cut
You're late again, your salary's cut!
Someone smashed my alarm
It's got me on the edge
You know it's so sharp
(Aaaaaaaa...)
And you know I won't go
You know I won't go
I don't wanna go
(He won't go)
The corporation's boiling over
Everybody's taking over

I won't go
(He won't go.)
I don't wanna go
(You must go!)
Is it time to go?
(The orders are in!)
Well, I'd rather go bowling!
(The lanes are closed!)
Maybe a little tennis?
(Your racket's got a hole.)
How about some baseball?
(Field's rained out.)
Maybe a little fishing?
(The fish are on vacation.)
Well, how about some golfing?
(The greens are overgrown.)
Well, what about some swimming?
(I don't think so!)
Well, what about this––and that––
(No, no, no, no, no!)
Well, you can't tell me what to do!
Well, you can't tell me what to do!
(Hey, fuck you!)

- My Friend, My Friend -

My friend, my friend he’s got a knife
A statement from his former life
When he was easy but alone
Beside him was an empty throne
But what of silver silken blade
Affix his gaze, his features staid
Grasps the handle, clips the cable
One steps up, sits at his table
My friend, my friend, he’s got a knife
My friend, my friend, he’s got my ex-wife

My friend, my friend, the clever ruse
Persuasion through his thoughts peruse
A hidden relic from his past
That wasn’t there when he looked last
He feels it ticking like a bomb
Feeding fear, assaulting calm
Takes the object, starts the game
Moves closer to the flame

My friend, my friend, the clever ruse
My friend, my friend, he lights the fuse

My friend, my friend, he’s got a knife
My friend, my friend, he’s got a knife
My friend, my friend, he’s got a knife

Whoa, it's back . . . and kinda scary. The only response I can offer is praise of the technical structure, which isn't what anyone needs to hear.

When I reach into my pocket
That's where I lose control yeah
There's a panther in my tree now
And as you heard roar
Get out of my life, get out my girlfriend
Or I'll lose her mind
Yeah our buddy gotta see you have it
Everybody knows Freedom, he'll find it inside your head yeah
Everybody knows Jesus, he'll be there when you are dead yeah
Watch that sound everybody look around what the hell is going down yeah
Round, Round, Round she goes
When I see the fuckoffs spur here
Sets me kind of a vine yeah
When I seize them son of a boyfriend
Gonna lose my mind
Everybody knows freedom, he'll find it inside your head yeah
Everybody knows Jesus, he'll be there when you are dead yeah
Watch that sound everybody look around what the hell is going down
When I see you in my dreams now
Makes me wanna turn
I've seen my panther and I seen my whore now
I know what's good for whores yeah
Whatcha doin' girl in my dreams now
Everybody knows freedom, he'll find it inside your head yeah
Everybody knows Jesus, he'll be there when you are dead yeah
Hey there now better watch that sound everybody look what was going down yeah

I know a secret I just can't tell...

Just for the record let's get the story straight.
Me and Uncle Tom were fishing it was getting pretty late.
Out on a cypress limb above the "Wishin' Well."
Where they say it got no bottom, say it take you down to hell!

Over in the bushes and off to the right.
Come two men talkin' in the pale moonlight.
Sheriff John Brady and Deputy Hedge,
haulin' two limp bodies down to the water's edge.

I know a secret down at Uncle Tom's Cabin, oh yeah.
I know a secret that I just can't tell.

They didn't see me and Tom in the trees.
Neither one believing what the other could see.
Tossed in the bodies, let 'em sink on down.
To the bottom of the well where they'd never be found.

I know a secret down at Uncle Tom's Cabin, oh yeah.
I know a secret that I just can't tell.
I know a secret down at Uncle Tom's Cabin.
I know a secret that I just can't tell.
I know a secret down at Uncle Tom's Cabin.
Know who put the bodies in the "Wishing Well!"

Soon as they were gone me and Tom got down.
Prayin' real hard that we wouldn't make a sound.
Running through the woods back to Uncle Tom's shack.
Where the full moon shines through the roof tile cracks.

Oh my God, Tom, who are we gonna tell?
The Sheriff he belongs in a prison cell.
Keep your mouth shut that's what we're gonna do.
Unless you wanna wind up in the "Wishin' Well" too?

I know a secret down at Uncle Tom's Cabin.
I know a secret that I just can't tell.
I know a secret down at Uncle Tom's Cabin, oh yeah!
I know a secret that I just can't tell.
I know a secret down at Uncle Tom's Cabin.
Know who put the bodies.
Know who put the bodies ... in the Wishing Well"
